
Aliyah Boston is an American professional basketball player playing for the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. Born in Saint Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, Boston attended Worcester Academy, where she won the Gatorade Player of the Year award three times and was also a McDonald’s All-American. Boston received offers from UConn, Ohio, and Notre Dame, but chose to join Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks instead. In her very first game with the Gamecocks, Boston recorded the first-ever triple-double by a freshman in program history, finishing with 10 blocks. Boston was named the consensus Freshman of the Year and was part of the first Gamecocks team to finish the season ranked number one in the nation.
In her final season with the Gamecocks, Boston was named to her third straight first-team All-American, won the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year, the Lisa Leslie Award, the SEC Player of the Year, and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. South Carolina went undefeated through the regular season and through the tourney before losing their only game to the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four. In 2025, Boston started playing in the inaugural 2025 season of Unrivaled for Team Vinyl BC.
