WNBA fans enjoyed Caitlin Clark's game against the Dallas Wings as she scored 35 points, setting a career high in the Indiana Fever's 110-109 win on Sunday. She left the fans even more impressed with how she scored in her fourth 30-point game.
The Indiana rookie's previous career best was 31 points (against the Chicago Sky on Aug. 30). Defensively, Dallas made sure not to let Clark take over the game. They played a physical brand of defense, but that didn't work out well as the point guard still found ways to score.
Clark also registered a 67% True Shooting after her 6-for-14 shooting from 3-point range. She also made the most of her trips at the free throw line, making all of her nine attempts.
After her game, fans were energized on social media.
"Sheryl Swoopes somewhere punching the air rn," one fan tweeted.
"Still a close race for ROY though right? 😂," another fan joked about the Rookie of the Year race.
"Sheryl Swoopes is throwing stuff around the house lol," a fan joked.
Other fans think she should win two major awards this season.
"Caitlin Clark is Rookie of the Year and MVP!" a fan tweeted.
"MVP and rookie of the year in the same year," another fan wrote about Clark.
"At this rate she’s definitely gonna be the WNBA goat," one fan thinks she could have a bigger reputation than others.
With her 35-point outing against the Wings, Clark made history. She's now the all-time rookie leader for most single-season points. She broke the record held by former Minnesota Lynx star Seimone Augustus, who scored 744 points in 2006.

Caitlin Clark continues to impress fans with how she plays. In Indiana's 78-74 loss against the Las Vegas Aces on Friday, she surpassed Alyssa Thomas' single-season record of 316 assists. She finished the game with 321.
Clark continues to break records, and her rookie season isn't over just yet. The Fever will participate in the postseason, where fans will get to see more action from the former Iowa Hawkeyes star.
