#2 - Cypher

Cypher’s utility can be used regardless of where he is on the map in Valorant. His kit is unrivaled in locating enemies. While he lurks across the map, he can also hold his teammates’ flank with his Trapwires.

Cypher’s camera can spot out enemies, and his teammates can attack accordingly. With the Spy Cam, he doesn’t need to risk his life to obtain information, which allows him to stay alive for his team. If Cypher can establish himself onto a site while enemies are elsewhere, he can use his abilities to secure a rotation for his teammates.

As his teammates secure a bombsite, Cypher has his team’s flank secured, then begins a flank of his own. Enemies must then waste utility to deal with his unknown location. This Agent’s lurk effectively slows down a defending team’s site retake, making him one of the best options for a sneaky Agent in Valorant.

His ultimate ability, Neural Theft, reveals the location of all the remaining enemies. Once activated, Cypher’s teammates can choose which site is the least protected and aggressively attack.

#1 - Omen

It sometimes seems like Omen’s kit was made for lurking across the map in Valorant.

His signature ability, Dark Cover, gives him two smokes at the beginning of each round. These smokes come back every 35 seconds, and he can place them precisely from more than halfway across the map. Omen can smoke for his teammates with this ability as they execute their attack while being in a different location. Dark Cover is also great for farming orbs and forcing out enemy utility on a fake site execute.

Omen’s Shrouded Step allows him to escape sticky situations or get past enemy traps. He is one of the few Valorant Agents able to get past a sentinel without alerting them. Omen can smoke off an enemy Killjoy Turret and make his way towards the enemy’s spawn. His flanking ability is unmatched.

Omen’s ultimate ability, From the Shadows, lets him travel to any location on the map. As a lurker, he can quickly relocate to anywhere in the arena. The ultimate is excellent for finding out where enemies are hiding or teleporting to an empty bombsite.

From the Shadows immediately disrupts an opposing team’s strategy, as they never know where Omen is hiding. If need be, he can cancel his ultimate, making for some unbelievably clutch plays in Valorant.

Having a lurking teammate in Valorant can provide countless opportunities for a team to capitalize on. It’s best to select Agents that can force rotations and utility from their enemies while assisting their team.

Lurkers are expected to, at the very least, gain pivotal information about enemies. Spreading an enemy team across the map can be the difference between winning and losing a match in Valorant.
