Wrestlemania 28: Confirmed Matches
The 28th annual Wrestlemania event is all set to take place at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on April 1, 2012. Billed to be the most anticipated social media event of the year, Wrestlemania 28 is being regarded as the biggest and grandest event in all of sports entertainment. Generally, Wrestlemania is a spectacle with several exciting matches that will all be remembered for ages. This year promises to be bigger and better with 8 matches scheduled to take place in this 4 hour extravaganza.
Match 1: CM Punk (c) vs Chris Jericho
WWE Championship Match
This rivalry to determine ‘The Best in the World’ has entered uncharted territory by becoming personal. After this match, we will have only one ‘Best in the World’.
Match 2: Daniel Bryan (c) vs Sheamus
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Sheamus won the 2012 Royal Rumble and has used that opportunity to face World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania. Daniel Bryan’s luck may run out against the Irish charm of Sheamus.
Match 3: Cody Rhodes (c) vs Big Show
Intercontinental Championship Match
Cody Rhodes’ impressive championship reign hits a huge roadblock in the form of the Big Show. Can Cody Rhodes take advantage of the choke artist or will he himself prove to be a big show?
Match 4: Randy Orton vs Kane
Kane’s recent stalking of Randy Orton hasn’t gone too well with the Viper, who is eager to inflict pain on the Big Red Monster.
Match 5: Maria Menounos & Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres
Divas Tag-team Match
Extra’s Maria Menounos teams with Kelly Kelly to take on the team of Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres.
Match 6: Team Johnny vs Team Teddy
12-Man Tag-team Match
Team Johnny comprises of David Otunga (Captain), Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre & The Miz. Team Teddy comprises of Santino Marella (Captain), R-Truth, Zack Ryder, The Great Khali, Kofi Kingston & Booker T. The winning team’s general manager will get the right to be the General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown shows.
Match 7: Undertaker vs Triple H
Hell in a Cell Match
This ‘End of an Era’ match will have ‘Heart Break Kid’ Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee. The Undertaker’s 19-0 Wrestlemania streak is under immense threat as the Game tries to do the impossible – Beating the Dead man at Wrestlemania.
This will be a ‘Once in a lifetime’ encounter as the leader of the Cenation takes on the leader of Team Bring It in hostile conditions. Will it be ‘boots to asses’ or ‘rise above hate’?
