CM Punk comes out and says everyone wants a Wrestlemania moment, but last week he got his own RAW moment. He says what he did was bigger than most people’s Wrestlemanias, and he will explain himself after he gets to something else. Punk says Jerry Lawler told everyone he turned his back on the WWE Universe, then he sits on the announcer’s table in front of Lawler. Punk says he’s used to bad commentary (from Cole) but Lawler got it wrong because The Rock is not the WWE Universe. He says Rocky comes here and asks like he is above Punk, and then he got “gifted” a title shot and thinks he’ll win the title.

Ad

Punk says he’s lucky he didn’t drop him then, and “Dwayne” came back out at the end of the night and tried to make the whole show about himself. Punk says this is not a popularity contest, because he is the WWE Champion, and he finds it funny that Rocky hasn’t responded yet. He says he knows what the silence means, and King can spin it how he wants, but RAW 1000 ended exactly how it should have. Punk says it ended with the WWE Champion, and the best in the world, then Big Show comes out and Punk meets him in the ring. Punk asks if he came to steal the spotlight too, and Show says it was a little about Punk, but it was really all about himself last week. Show says he’s the one who made John Cena‘s cash-in fail, and he knocked Cena out but Punk still almost lost.

Ad

Show reminds Punk that he almost tapped out, and he says the only reason Punk is still champion is because of him, so he vows to be the next champion. Punk says he couldn’t beat Cena at No Way Out or win Money In The Bank, and the only one who is winning anything around here is himself. Cena runs out and goes right after Show, then Show shoves him away and rolls out of the ring while Cena tells him to come back and fight. Justin Roberts announces AJ Lee’s arrival, then she comes out and says her first decision as GM will be to name the main event tonight. She says Cena and Show will go one-on-one, and the winner of the match will get a title shot against CM Punk at Summerslam.
