Mumbai Indians played Kings XI Punjab on 13 May 2016 at Vishakhapatnam. This was a crucial game for Mumbai Indians. They had to win this game to move upwards and challenge top-four. Unmukt Chand played instead of Parthiv Patel. Glenn Maxwell was back in the side for Kings XI Punjab.
Mumbai Indians lost two early wickets. Chand and Rayudu went without scoring. Mumbai never settled in with the bat. MI’s captain tried to steady the innings but was removed by Axar Patel.
MI made 50 runs in the twelfth over. Kieron Pollard came in and accelerated Mumbai’s innings. MI put 124 runs on the board. Batting first didn’t work out as expected for Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai Indians dismissed Hashim Amla early. Vijay and Saha steadied the boat. Murali Vijay and Wriddhiman Saha scored half-centuries. They put 116 runs for the second wicket.
Virat Kohli holds the orange cap. Rohit Sharma is at number three. Murali Vijay enters the top-10 list.

It was a superb bowling performance from Kings XI Punjab. Marcus Stoinis had a terrific game against Mumbai Indians. He took four wickets for just fifteen runs. Mohit Sharma and Sandeep Sharma picked up two wickets each.
Most of Mumbai’s bowlers had an off day. Mitchell McClenaghan took the crucial wicket of Saha but it was too little and too late. Kings XI Punjab cruised to victory.
