Andre Russell struck regularly to dash Kings XI Punjab’s hopes

Despite a clinical victory in their previous match, Kings XI Punjab arrived at the Eden Gardens fully aware of the enormity of the task that awaited them. Comfortably positioned in the top-half of the table, the Kolkata Knight Riders were looking to continue their momentum at home.

Punjab skipper Murali Vijay won the toss and decided not to allow Knight Riders another opportunity to chase. Despite starting off cautiously, the Gautam Gambhir-led side managed to get to a competitive total. The Kolkata bowlers withstood an onslaught from Glenn Maxwell to hold on to a tense victory.

Let us take a look at the most important statistics from the engrossing encounter.
