Match 4 : Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals Preview

Delhi Daredevils started their Ipl 6 campaign on a loosing note. Delhi Daredevils were outclassed by Kolkata Knightriders in all the departments. They will be hoping to reverse that result when they face Rajasthan Royals in Match 4 of IPL 2013.

Rajasthan Royals are an under-rated team. They don’t have the big superstars but they have in them what it takes to win as a unit. Their main strength is the local talents and domestic talents in the team. Rajasthan Royals won the inaugral season of Ipl with the local talent that they had, with the likes of Pathan,Jadeja. After that winning season,Royals have not been quite able to reproduce their form since then. Rajasthan Royals will try to be a consistent unit as a whole and lift the Pepsi Ipl 2013 this time around.

The Delhi Daredevils,on the other hand is the team which have the bad omen of chokers tag. Delhi have been consistent in all the previous editions,but when it matters the most they haven’t been able to deliver the knockout blow. Delhi is a team which has the talent but has not shown justice to the talent the players possess. Delhi Daredevils have a new captain this time around in the form of Mahela Jayawardene. Delhi,without Virender Sehwag looked an out of sorts team against Kolkata Knightriders in the opening tie. The fire-power and the fear in the bowlers that Sehwag creates is unmatched and was missing once again even when there was the dashing and in-form Unmukht Chand. They will miss Sehwag once again when they meet Rajasthan Royals, Unmukht Chand & co will need to put up an improved performance with the bat. Delhi will be keen to put their first points on the board.

Players to watch out:

• OWAIS SHAH : Absence of Shane Watson for the first match will be a big blow for the Royals. Owais Shah will take his place and will be the player to watch out for the Royals.
• AJINKYA RAHANE : Rahane,was one of the top run getters in last season.He will be again key to their chances this season.
• JAMES FAULKNER : James Faulkner,is a new addition in the Royals ranks.He is a bowling all-rounder who has done well in this format.If he will be successful in India will have to watch and see.
• UNMUKHT CHAND : Unmukht Chand, is one of the greatest talents in Delhi cricket today.He is a really talented batsman and on his day,he is un-stoppable.We will have to wait and see if Unmukht comes off age.
• UMESH YADAV : Umesh,is the fastest bowler in India today.He has been marred by injuries and has returned just in time for the Ipl.He will be a threat to the Royals batsmen.He will bamboozle the batsmen with his pace and accuracy.
• MAHELA JAYAWARDENE : The batsman who showed you could be an orhodox batsman and still be successful in this format.In the match against Kolkata Knightriders he was on his own and scoring fluently.
