Chadli has been immense for the Baggies recently

The end of the Premier League’s game week 6 has proven yet again how important midfielders are to give a boost to your Fantasy Premier League team. Strong teams always have a solid base of attacking midfielders and wingers who can give great returns.

You also cannot neglect the importance of carefully making your midfield in such a way that it does not cause a dent in your budget. As reports of Kevin De Bruyne’s injury surface, managers will have to replace him with another midfielder who could offer a similar presence in terms of points.

To help you with this, we have a list of 5 midfielders who we believe will help your team.

#5 Nacer Chadli- £6.4m

West Brom have repeatedly shown us their defensive prowess but have not quite convinced people with their attack. However, new summer signing Nacer Chadli has already displayed us that you cannot take West Brom lightly anymore. Chadli tormented West Ham United, as the Belgian scored a brace and set his teammates up twice to ensure that the Baggies won convincingly.

West Brom are up against Sunderland, a team languishing at the bottom of the table and Chadli should make the most out of this fixture as he is the Baggies’ main goalscoring threat. Chadli can also be included in your team at a budget price, hence clearing up money for premium money signings.

#4 Dimitri Payet- £9.4m

Payet will be vital for a Hammers revival

The French player has never ceased to amaze us with his bag full of skills and tricks. The duo of Payet and Michail Antonio has been the only glimmer of hope in an otherwise disastrous start for the Hammers. Payet is a wonderful asset to have on your team as the Frenchman is always in the middle of the things and his performance last season is proof of his excellence.

The midfielder can deliver brilliant passes and has a knack of scoring world class goals. We also cannot neglect Payet’s set piece taking ability, which took the football world by storm last season. A combined package, he is definitely one player that managers cannot ignore.

We hope that Slaven Bilic sorts out the West Ham team as this would only make Dimitri Payet more efficient.

#3 Raheem Sterling-£8.5m

Sterling has experienced a resurrection under Guardiola

The Englishman who had a rather tumultuous season under Manuel Pellegrini has had a complete turnaround under new manager Pep Guardiola. The winger is in the form of his life and we must thank the Spaniard for bringing out the best in him.

Sterling has scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in six starts for Manchester City and looks in splendid form. Sterling’s speed and trickery are a big part of his playing style and this makes him extremely hard to defend against. His stock has continued to rise since game week 1 and he should be picked up before his price rises again.

#2 Heung Ming Son – £7.5m

Son has carried the goalscoring burden in the absence of Harry Kane

There has been a lot of confusion around former Leverkusen player Son, since his arrival at the London club. The player was not a regular starter and did not appear to be more than a squad player. However, the last three game weeks have shown that he is now a crucial part of the Tottenham Hotspur.

With a brilliant game against all the three oppositions that he has started against, the chances of Son getting relegated back to the bench are extremely bleak. Son has scored 4 goals in his last three starts in the Premier League and is definitely a player one should look out for.

The South Korean’s form is good news for Spurs who have lost their main goal scoring threat Harry Kane to an injury.

#1 Alexis Sanchez- £11.1m

Sanchez keeps going from strength to strength for the Gunners

The Chilean stunned Chelsea with his brilliant performance against Chelsea last weekend. Arsene Wenger who repeatedly started Sanchez as the Arsenal no. 9 much to the dismay of fans, will be happy as the player looked extremely comfortable against London rivals Chelsea.

The winger has scored four goals and set his teammates up thrice in the six starts. With a host of favourable fixtures coming up for Arsenal, Alexis looks to be the Gunners’ best attacking outlet at the moment. His goal scoring prowess combined with Mesut Ozil’s creativity should ensure a large amount of goals for the Arsenal team.
