Arsenal fans were unhappy with Bukayo Saka's performance in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal, which ended a 1-0 loss for the Gunners.

After a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at the Emirates last week, Arsenal traveled to the Allianz Arena for the crucial second leg on Wednesday, April 17. They were eliminated from the Champions League by the Bavarians, thanks to Joshua Kimmich's goal in the 63rd minute.

The Gunners' fans flooded social media with posts expressing disappointment with Saka's performance. Here is a collection of their reactions on X:

One fan wrote:

"Saka was one of the worst players on the field today. Nothing brilliant with that game."

Another added:

"Saka is not a big game player btw. As it stands I’d be starting palmer on that right side in the euros. But Southgate has no balls"
"Saka has been horrible all game, that decision to take the free kick fast was so unnecessary," another fan chimed in.

One user wrote:

"Bukayo Saka slander is so unfair man, why is he always the target? He didnt even play tonight"

Another mocked:

"People always slandering Bukayo Saka for no reason, he didn't even play today."

While one post read:

"Bukayo Saka is simply not built for the big stage…"

Saka managed zero shots against Bayern on Wednesday night, created zero chances, and completed zero dribbles. He took only three touches in Bayern's box and played just one pass into the final third.

The young Englishman has been in terrific form for Arsenal this campaign but failed to deliver on possibly the biggest night of their season so far.

Arsenal's upcoming run of fixtures

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table with 71 points from 32 matches, two points behind reigning champions Manchester City. In their last five league fixtures, the Gunners have one loss, one draw, and three wins.

Mikel Arteta's squad and third-placed Liverpool currently have the same points in the league table, but the former has a higher goal difference. They play against Wolverhampton Wanderers next in the league on Saturday, April 20, at the Molineux Stadium. They will then face Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth, Manchester United, and Everton to end their domestic season.

With Arsenal's and Machester City's elimination from the UEFA Champions League, there are no Premier League clubs in the competition's semi-finals for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
