Reports: Inter Milan make move for Chelsea's Oscar

Goodbye Chelsea?

Inter Milan have made enquiries to Chelsea about midfielder Oscar, according to reports. The Brazilian is said to be their top target after Yaya Toure turned down a move back to the Italian club.

The 24-year-old has spent the four seasons at Stamford Bridge since joining the club after the 2012 Olympics. Oscar has been a vital part of Chelsea’s first team and has made 121 apps for the club. The Brazilian has scored 21 goals for The Blues but scored just three in the Premier League last season.

According to Di Marzio, Inter Milan enquired about his availability last week but were not told that Oscar is not for sale. But now reports are emerging that Antonio Conte doesn’t want Oscar, so he’d be allowed to leave.

Chelsea signed Oscar for £19.35 million in 2012 and it’s being reported that Inter Mila would have to pay £30m to sign Oscar from The Blues. Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also said to be keeping an eye on him.

Conte refused to confirm that he will not be selling any first team player in his recent press conference. He said “All 29 players are Chelsea’s players at the moment. After this period I speak with my club. There are players who will stay and others will go. This is football. It is important to be clear with all.”

Inter Milan recently sign Ever Banega on a free transfer but his addition though it looks like Inter may not be done looking for creative midfielders. It’s being reported that Roberto Mancini is keen on signing the Brazilian who isn't considered essential for the Chelsea team by Conte.

Chelsea are keen on getting Conte the players he wants at the club to challenge for the title again this season. This clearly means they will not hesitate in selling the out-of-favor players at the club to free up some wages and also get some funds for the transfer kitty.

Oscar was a target for Antonio Conte when he was at Juventus but the Brazilian has not been able to impress the Italian Boss in the pre-season matches so far. Conte is now said to be looking to play Eden Hazard in the #10 spot with Cuadrado and Kenedy or Pedro in the wings.

If Inter Milan do manage to get Oscar, it is not thought to be connected to the deal for Antonio Candreva, who is set to join from Lazio in the coming days.
