“He put his hands down” - Elmehdi El Jamari won’t make the same mistake that brother Zakaria did against Aliff

27-year-old Moroccan firecracker 'The Sniper' Elmehdi El Jamari will be looking to avenge his brother Zakaria's loss to Aliff Sor Dechapan when the two meet in the ONE Championship ring this weekend.

Zakaria dropped a first-round knockout loss to the wily 21-year-old Malaysian-Thai rising star, and Elmehdi wants to pay him back for it.

The two throw hands in a very important Muay Thai showdown this weekend in Bangkok, and El Jamari is seeking victory.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, El Jamari says he will do his best to avoid making the same mistakes his brother made against the Sor Dechapan product.

El Jamari told the world's largest martial arts organization:

"He told me Aliff is a good fighter, but he is not a great fighter. I think Zakaria’s biggest mistake was he put his hands down."

'The Sniper' made his ONE Championship debut last April, defeating highly regarded Thai brawler Thongpoon PK Saenchai via first-round knockout. A victory over Aliff in his sophomore outing would boost his stock up the rankings mightily.
