ONE Championship: Stamp recalls putting romantic relationships aside to focus on fighting career: “I should have a clear mind”

Former ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion and three-sport queen Stamp Fairtex of Thailand is a woman who knows where her priorities are.

And that's why she prioritized fighting over love in her life.

Speaking to legendary MMA fighter Demetrious 'Mighty Mouse' Johnson on his Mighty Cast podcast, Stamp shared her experience in dedicating herself to her craft.

The 27-year-old Thai megastar said:

"For me, I should be more focused on training. Because I have experience before when I’m not focused and I have a boyfriend, it wasn’t good for me. I lost my belts in kickboxing and Muay Thai. Then I thought I should have a clear mind. I should practice more. I have to see him for the long term, like is he good or not? Then I shouldn’t make myself sad or make everyone sad with me."

Needless to say, all the sacrifices have certainly paid off for the Fairtex Training Center product, as she is currently one of the most recognized combat sports athletes in the world today.

Stamp Fairtex sets timetable for settling down into family life: "Maybe five more years or something"

While she is one of the most popular fighters in the world today, Stamp Fairtex admits the thought of settling down and starting a family have crossed her mind.

The 27-year-old megastar admits that one day, she would like to have children, but not after she has achieved her martial arts dreams.

She told Mighty Cast:

"The children, I feel like, not now. It’s going to be like long-term in the future, like (when) I retire, something like that. Maybe five more years or something."

Fans can expect Stamp to return to action sometime later this year.
