5 most common phrases among the current WWE fans

Not the best, but he does know to wrestle

We have a lot of complaintsWe, professional wrestling fans are very complex creatures. There are a lot of different levels and facts that make us stand out from the crowd. Some of these are worth being proud about while some others end up making us a laughing stock. Despite this split, we have our own identity in this blue marble in the space. We have our own style, we have our own community and the best part is that we have our own phrases. Unlike the muggles out there, we have a wrestling phrase for almost all the real life situations. And this list is going to look at those phrases. So if you end up saying one of them in the middle, dont be surprised.

#5 Cena cannot wrestle

Not the best, but he does know to wrestle

This phrase has been making rounds in the wrestling fan community for several years. Yes, John Cena is not the best wrestler out there. But it doesn’t mean he cannot wrestle. The guy has been wrestling for nearly two decades and has been on top of the mountain for one. He is hands down the most marketable superstar that the company has and still we come up with such a phrase.

And for the sake of cementing the argument made, Cena has an option to take up a career in Hollywood. He would have better pay and more holidays there, but Cena decides to stick around and work 365 days a year. This is because he loves the business. At the same time, he is putting in a lot of effort to learn new moves. But still, we say that Cena cannot wrestle.

#4 We want Attitude

Attitude Era? nope

The Attitude Era was so good at some levels that the fans want it back forever. All those rushed three minutes matches, all those controversial angles, all those eye candy women, and everything else that WWE produced during the era was mesmerizing. And since we are currently going through an era that completely contrasts the Attitude Era, we are constantly complaining about injecting some attitude into the current product.

Now, for starters, some of the current storylines suck. The mid card rarely gets a good storyline and WWE doesn’t even know whom to push and when to push. But despite all these problems, we are not going to get back attitude and all those controversy. I mean, these guys banned Hulk F’n Hogan.

#3 They should book him like this; they should book him like that

Owens should win, Owens should lose

The Internet has turned most of us into apparent wrestling geniuses. We think that we know better than someone who has been in the business for nearly five decades and thinks that we would excel if we are hired as the creative writers. To be frank, some of us might but not all of us will.

The job of booking superstars and running a storyline on wrestling is not only about having a fantasy pairing. There is a lot of work put into the same and almost all the creative decisions that WWE comes up with are thoroughly thought out. And then there is us, sitting in our homes, typing on the social media sites and forums about how Kevin Owens should win and how John Cena should lose.

#2 Vince McMahon should retire

He is still the man behind all those good shows

Following up on the last point, this one is also a common phrase among the WWE fans. This guy called Vince McMahon revolutionized professional wrestling and made it into an international phenomenon. He had the guts to break the territory system and ended up gifting us WWE, WrestleMania, the Attitude Era, and all the other memories that we cherish.

However, times have changes (according to us fans). Vince is apparently out of touch these days (according to us) and whenever he comes into some discussion, the thing we say is Vince McMahon should retire. And we have a readymade replacement for him as well in the form of Paul Levesque aka Triple H. The man deserves respect but then again, he should retire (according to us).

#1 It\'s not fake, it\'s scripted

It’s fake? Tell me more

This is a classic phrase and is applicable to all the fans. The muggles out there have a misconception that wrestling is ‘fake’ and whenever we came across such a statement, we are sure to explode. We are tired of saying that it is scripted and we use the term so much, that it had turned into a common phrase among the fan community. But then again, we must educate the uneducated and impart some knowledge right?

For the record, Wrestling is not fake, it is scripted. If you want to argue that it is fake, then fall off a 20 feet steel cell twice and come up with the point once again so that the argument is even worth considering.
