5 NXT superstars who should be called up next

NXT superstars making their debut in the main roster have always been an exciting prospect for the fans. WWE didn’t do a particular good job this year in managing their NXT roster as most of the debuts bombed big time due to some bad creative decisions.Adam Rose, Bo Dallas and Emma fell in the list of casualities while Paige made considerable strides to make sure that she didn’t face the same fate as her companions. There are still a lot of superstars left in the NXT roster waiting for the right opportunity to quench their thirst for main roster action. The WWE fans got a teaser of what it would feel like to witness the energy of NXT wrestlers and here is a look at who all deserve to get the call up next.

#5 Charlotte

For people who might raise an eyebrow or two seeing Charlotte in the list, well, she gave a match of the year contender alongside Natalya while the entire Main roster divas including AJ Lee and Paige couldn’t do the same.

Living up to the sky high bar set by her father, Charlotte has turned into the backbone of NXT divas division once Paige left for bigger things.

She has been a worthy champion both inside and outside the squared circle and it would only be a matter of time before we could see Charlotte tearing down the likes of AJ Lee and Paige.

WWE could easily rebuild their divas division around these three but should keep the total divas away from these women who actually know how to wrestle.

#4 The Ascension

They lost their NXT tag titles at Takeover 2 which means that Ascension is closer than ever to getting a main roster call up. WWE have been struggling to find credible opponents for the Usos after WrestleMania and even made Cody Rhodes paint himself to cover up.

There is a certain aura to the Ascension that the tag team division is missing at the moment and having a powerful team like this alongside Usos, Rhodes Brothers, Wyatt Family and the potential team of Big Show and Mark Henry would take the division back to its glory days.

A tag team title reign would be the ideal situation to introduce the duo as anything less would be under booking of such a talented team.

#3 Hideo Itami

No matter what name WWE gives him, it will always be Kenta for most of the fans. The main reason for WWE signing Kenta after years of ignorance might be to tighten their grip on the Japanese market which is almost out of their hand thanks to TNA.

A big name like Kenta making it big in the company is just what Vince wants before he can expand his Network to Japan. There are rumors suggesting that Kenta would be getting a big push once he makes his main roster debut and the destruction of Ascension at Takeover 2 suggested the same .

His hard hitting style might be a bit toned down during his run in WWE, but the essence of his work will still be there for the fans to enjoy.

#2 Sami Zayn

The Former El Generico has been one of the most popular superstars in NXT ever since he signed with WWE. Zayn is one of those typical baby faces that would stir up the crowd no matter where he goes.

His acting ability might be a bit short handed at the moment but Zayn knows to captivate the fans with his in ring performances. It wouldn’t be a bad idea if the company allows Zayn to bring back his mask since WWE doesn’t have a good enough masked wrestler to replace Rey Mysterio.

Zayn has all the fire power to surpass the achievements of Mysterio but the writers should not let him wait too much and cool him down.

#1 Adrian Neville

The reigning NXT champion stole the show when he had the chance to wrestler on Raw alongside Zayn, Tyson Kidd and Tyler Breeze.

Neville’s high flying manoeuvres and energy are well known to the NXT fans while the independent wrestling fans are used to seeing much more from the Brit. The version of Neville that we see in NXT is actually incredibly toned down as he is not allowed to do most of his finishers in the WWE.

The creative thinks that it is too dangerous to have moves like that in the ring but even after taking away all those, Neville is gold. He could be a good midcarder or an underdog main eventer within no time after his main roster debut unless the WWE decides to make him another laughing stock.
