5 Superstars that deserve a better push from WWE

The WWE Universe has always been vocal about the way the company handles their superstars. They often go haywire when a talented superstar is kept in the crowd by the creative team and 2014 has been no different. This year, the company has been in the spotlight mostly for all the wrong reasons and not using their roster is one of them.Even in times of crisis, many deservingtalents have been overlooked by the writers while some others who lack the goods got pushed to the moon. There are many superstars in the roster, who, if provided with a good push could end up selling tickets for the promotion. So here is a look at those names whose status should be revised by the company.

#5 Natalya

The Divas division of WWE is at an all-time low right now as the company struggles to produce a credible storyline for the women.

AJ Lee has been reigning on top for a long time now and the creative team hasn’t even bothered to give her some competition that could actually look good between the ropes. In a division where only Paige and AJ are being pushed at the moment, Natalya is someone who deserves to share the spotlight.

She could give the male superstars a run for their money when it comes to wrestling and her microphone work isn’t bad as well. For everyone who missed, Natalya also gave a match of the year contender performance against Charlotte in NXT, a feat that she could replicate given a proper platform.

#4 Tyson Kidd

After the Hart Dynasty broke up, Kidd has been struggling to stay relevant in the company. He’s had numerous matches and some random angles after that but never managed to live up to his full potential.

Back when he graduated from the Hart Dungeon, people started comparing him with Kurt Angle. This shows how polished he is in between the ropes and this is a fact that the main roster fans are not exposed to.

Kidd is currently running a hot angle with Natalya at NXT and apparently, the fans in WWE’s developmental territory have realized that he is too good to be in the lower level. He is someone who could fill the void between Main event and Midcard and give us matches that were once given by names like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit or Dean Malenko.

#3 Cody Rhodes

The WWE fans have always expected a lot from Cody Rhodes. His rise to the top is one of the most anticipated moments for many, but so far, he has been restricted to the underrated list.

There is nothing to be improved upon in his in ring performances as they capture the fans’ attention every time he is in the ring. He also has the looks to be a poster boy for the company and the only thing missing now is a good push.

Cody has spent a ridiculous amount of time in the tag team division and the company took it to a whole new level with the Stardust character. Stardust looks set to confine Cody to the division for some more time which is not what he needs for his career right now.

The writers should make the brother against brother feud happen soon and let Cody make it on his own so that they will have another main eventer in the mix.

#2 Dolph Ziggler

The reaction that Ziggler gets whenever he walks down the ramp is enough to show that he is someone who deserves to be in the upper echelons of the roster.

For someone who debuted in the WWE as part of a joker gang called Spirit Squad, Ziggler exceeded expectations and became the World Champion. However, his title run was cut short due to an injury and the Showoff have been haunted ever since.

The saddest part amidst all these is the dedication and effort that Ziggler puts into his matches. He sells every move that is thrown at him and not getting the limelight he deserves. All this explains why the fans are still cheering every move that he makes between the ropes.

#1 Cesaro

Unlike the other names in the list, Cesaro was someone who seemed to be heading somewhere when the year started.

He ended up in the last four of the Royal Rumble, won the Andre the Giant Battle Royale and got to be a Paul Heyman guy just 24 hours after Heyman’s other client made history at WrestleMania by defeating the Undertaker.

He also main evented a couple of pay-per-views though they were multi-superstar matches. The crowd was so high on Cesaro that they wanted him to be champion before the year ended. However, all these hopes came crashing down soon and Cesaro is now being used very randomly.

In the absence of Daniel Bryan, Cesaro is arguably the best wrestler in the company and with Heyman as his voice; the Swiss Superman clearly deserves something better before the WWE enters the next year.
