Kurt Angle Getting impersonated is one way of knowing that you are successful (either in the negative or positive way). And when it comes to professional wrestling, if you are impersonated by another superstar, then it means there is something unique about you that is worth doing it. Certain wrestlers are copied more and certain wrestlers are copied less.This list is going to take a look at the former category of superstars who are the victims of numerous impersonations. The list might go on to have a handful of additions in the future, but for the time being, here are the big names that will be hard to keep away from those professional wrestling impersonation stories.

#5 Steve Austin

Steve Austin’s character was so good that TNA decided to give that gimmick to a guy wearing Shark Mask and he went over. Shark Boy was based on Steve Austin’s gimmick and it was one of the mainstays back in TNA. Santino Marella has a similar experience of impersonating the Texas rattlesnake while Charlie Hass (mark this name, you will hear a lot about him in the coming slides) did not back down as well.

But above all, Austin was impersonated by his greatest rival, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. All these were successful because Austin had standout characteristics. Rotate your head, drink some beers, flip the bird, and you know it’s Stone Cold. And in case you did not know, there is a video in YouTube that says Barack Obama impersonates Steve Austin.

#4 Randy \"Macho Man\" Savage

Just like the Steve Austin case, TNA and Randy Savage have a connection. Jay Lethals Black Machismo gimmick was ripped off from the Macho man gimmick and it is safe to call it a wicked impersonation of the Hall of Famer. Recently, Damien Sandow started impersonating Macho Man and it turned out to be impressive as well.

And if this was not enough, WWE posted a video of almost all the superstars in the roster doing their Randy Savage impression after he was announced for the Hall of Fame this year. This somehow shows the impact that Savage left in the business even though he parted ways with WWE in an abrupt manner.

#3 Vince McMahon

Being the boss is never easy. No matter how good you are with your job, you will probably end up being a laughing stock in front of your employees. And Vince McMahon found this out the hard way. He managed to build himself as the most hated character during the attitude era and this rise came with its perks.

Vince has been impersonated numerous times during his career. The most notable one from the lot has to be the segment pulled off by D-Generation X. Triple H and Shawn Michaels literally ripped through McMahon and gave the fans a memorable laugh. Damien Sandow and Charlie Haas also took up the role of Vince McMahon, but nothing reached the level of DX.

John Cena goes on to represent WWE in almost all the international events that happen and has a unique stand out image among his peers. When it comes to impersonations, Cena has some immense talent. He could mock his opponent in style and produce a laugh or two from the crowd. But at the same time, Cena has been subjected to impersonations on various occasions.

Big Show, Kurt Angle, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson have tried their hand in impersonating Cena. It is hard to pick the best one from the lot as all three superstars were solid. And yeah, Charlie Haas also did a Cena impersonation. (This guy is everywhere)

#1 Hulk Hogan

Superstars have been banking in on the popularity of Hulk Hogan for quite some time now. Steve Austin was probably the first to pull off Hogan impersonation. He did this back during his stay in ECW and it went on to be iconic. Shawn Michaels then followed up with another excellent impersonation of the Hulkster.

Big Show then ended up being a giant Hogan while Charlie Haas (yeah, he was a great guy) had his own style of portraying Hulkamania. The latest impersonator of Hogan is none other than Curtis Axel. Axel, who did not find any luck even after being a Paul Heyman guy actually ended up being successful once he took up the Hogan impersonation, Now that’s cool.
