5 WWE superstars with documented huge appetites

The Dragon ate a lot for his frame

GoldbergBeing a wrestler for the world's largest and most mainstream wrestling company, one would have to follow a strict diet. This is the case for every wrestler, but in some instances the appetite of a wrestler goes beyond that of a normal gluten. Even though eating at that quantity is a big no-no, sometimes things go out of hand and many wrestlers have showed the world how much they are capable of stuffing down their own throats. This slideshow highlights five (even though there have been many as such) of these wrestlers and explains their monstrous appetites.

#1 Ricky \'The Dragon\' Steamboat

The Dragon ate a lot for his frame

This came as quite a surprise to open the list, didn’t it?

Ricky Steamboat was one of the most technically gifted wrestlers in the 80’s, and also, apparently, one of the most gifted eaters. The Dragon has apparently had a diet different to other wrestlers. While everyone had to follow rules based on what they could eat, Steamboat was allowed to eat whatever he wanted, with a catch.

Ricky Steamboat was not allowed to eat after around noon, which may sound odd, but the man could stuff himself in with everything he needed in a day within his time limit. All he was allowed was water and the occasional nutrient pill following a match, and the said process would be repeated the next day.

Imagine being able to eat a full day’s nutrition just for breakfast!

#2 Goldberg

Goldberg wasn’t just a beast in the ring, but also at the table

Contrary to the first entry on the list, this may not come as that big of a surprise. However, the extent to which Bill Goldberg would go to when it came to eating were unbelievably extreme.

His breakfast typically consisted of a dozen eggs, of which, because of his diet, he only ate the whites. And that wasn’t all. He’d eat about half a pound of turkey and wash it all down with half a pot of coffee, which to the normal human being is tremendously dangerous.

His other meals in the day would consist of about the same quanity of food, all high on proteins, but the most shocking figure of all, possibly, was that he previously stated that he drinks about fifteen bottles of water a day! Mad, isn’t it?

#3 Zack Ryder

Bet you weren’t expecting this

Back to the surprising entries on the list, Zack Ryder is someone who eats a lot more than what meets the eye.

Ryder has been known for buying entire tubs of oatmeal (porridge) at a time, and consuming them at once too! His regular breakfast is similar to that of Goldberg in two ways, it consists of a lot of turkey and two eggs (which pales in comparison to Bill’s number).

However, along with this, he also eats an entire tub of the oatmeal he famously buys. That doesn’t end his oatmeal craziness, though, he also dumps in a lot of it in his protein shakes. For lunch and dinner, he usually has steak, chicken, hamburgers or a combination of all three.

Ryder also says his favourite sides are brown rice and sweet potatoes, which he makes it a point to add into most of the meals he consumes. If only he got as much screen time as he does with reagrds to his appetite.

#4 The Big Show

The world’s largest appetite... maybe

Being honest, this is probably the least surprising entry on the list.

However, The Big Show’s diet makes Goldberg’s look like an evening tea snack. He doesn’t eat three meals a day, but instead, to “keep his metabolism going”, The Big Show eats five whole meals a day, and he says that all of them are roughly the same size.

To highlight the size of these meals, I’m going to talk you through only one, his breakfast. The Big Show, like Goldberg, also likes eggs, but he likes them with a touch of gourmet, and has one omelet only, consisting of twenty whole eggs that is. Imagine eating twenty eggs at one go, on a regular basis.

With an expectedly large number of glasses of water, The Big Show also drinks plenty of milk, and not to mention, with almost every breakfast, he shoves in a tub of ice-cream too, for a relatively small dessert.

#5 Ryback

“Feed Him More”

No... This isn’t a joke.

Ryback’s catchphrase may be “Feed me more”, but that is as literal as a catchphrase has ever been. Knocking off The Big Show in the “Who has more meals” competition, Ryback says he eats a meal every couple of hours, starting of course with breakfast (or, his first breakfast, considering from 6 am to 12 pm he could fit in four breakfasts), which consists of a whole pound of steak and a giant bowl of pasta.

The following meals of the day will typically consist of the same quantity but tend to switch around the actual food, including protein rich steaks, grilled chicken, tuna, eggs, brown rice, and sweet potatoes, with the between-meal protein shakes being plenty. There is no joking around when it comes to Ryback and his food.
