What are the factors that make up a good wrestling match? Wrestlers, story, action, suspense, climax and the list goes on and on. One thing that we often miss out in such discussions is the entrance of the wrestlers. Although it doesn’t seem important at times, the entrance always has a great impact on how successful the match is. A lot of creative planning goes into these entrances but sometimes, things do not go according to this blueprint. And this presents us with botched entrances that are sometimes funny and sometimes scary. And today, we are going to take a look at some of the botched entrances from WWE’s history.

The Original Sin Cara never had the tides in his favour.

He was a talented wrestler and he came into the WWE with a lot of expectations resting on his shoulders. There were a handful of dream scenarios that the fans had for him but all off that came crashing down when Sin Cara turned into a botch master.

He was botching move after move during his matches and to make matters worse, he had a forgettable entrance as well. WWE even made use of a trampoline to propel him into the ring and most of the times, this attempt to woo the crowd backfired on the company.

#7 Ultimo Dragon messes up at WrestleMania

Ultimo Dragon is considered to be a legendary name in the wrestling business. But his stint in WWE was nothing worth remembering.

There was a lot of hype surrounding him when he came over to WWE from WCW, but he failed to live up to those due to a lot of reasons. His entrance was nothing special, to be frank. Despite the simplicity, he messed up his entrance at WrestleMania 20.

He slipped while making his way to the ring and it was not something he wanted to have on the biggest pay-per-view of them all. It was embarrassing to say the least.

#6 Split Goes Wrong for Melina

Melina's split legged entrance is always a joy for the fans. She shows some incredible amount of athleticism to pull off the move and it is good eye candy for the fans as well.

She has pulled it off perfectly on numerous occasions, but during the 2007 Survivor Series, it went wrong for her. Initially, Melina used to wear a skirt to the ring, but later, she switched to tights which made her entrance a more daunting process.

She learned the lesson the hard way at the pay-per-view when she slipped and fell on the apron. She picked herself up back and hesitantly slid under the bottom rope, but the embarrassment was there to be seen.

#5 Shockmaster shocks the World

Talk about disastrous debuts in professional wrestling history and Shockmaster is going to be right up there on top of the list.

The idea of Shockmaster was a horrible one to begin with and things went from bad to worse when he actually made his debut in 1990. He came in, tripped and fell to the ground.

His helmet came off his head and there was no going back from there. The whole scene became hilarious when Shockmaster started talking in his robotic voice. It was supposed to be a serious debut but turned out to be one of the most comical segments in professional wrestling.

#4 Paul London gets to the other side

Paul London was one of the most impressive cruiserweights in WWE's roster during a time frame.

He was quite successful in the tag team division as well along with Brian Kendrick, but despite being talented, some problems with Vince McMahon and the WWE management shortened his career in the WWE.

Talking about his entrance, Paul London had a unique one. He used to run into the ring and slid across the mat before working the crowd. But it did not go well all the time. On an episode of SmackDown, he slid out of the ring during the entrance.

#3 Shawn Michaels get stuck

The trademark entrance of Shawn Michaels is something that the fans always enjoy.

He usually comes out with his 'Sexy Boy' theme and poses with his lavish attire before getting into the ring to wrestle. Michaels had the habit of wearing some heavy gear and back in 2005, it worked against him. The metal chains that were there in the attire of Michaels got stuck in the walkway of Raw.

Michaels was immobilized for some time, but the post the experience, Michaels decided to shed off his extra fittings so that he could walk properly again. He did acknowledge the botch afterwards and the fans took it lightly.

Jeff Hardy is known for many things. His high flying abilities inside the ring, his tattoos and body paint and many others.

The entrance was another trademark of his and during an episode of SmackDown, Hardy was burnt by the pyro used for his entrance. Hardy immediately went down due to the pain.

He was taken backstage to get some medical attention and it was a scary moment for the fans. It was a moment of realism in the kayfabe world and fans looking anxiously at the situation made us realize the dangers that the wrestlers get involved in while trying to entertain us.

#1 Undertaker catches fire

Undertaker's entrance is probably next to none in WWE. Whenever the lights go off and the Phenom walks out to his legendary music, the fans get chills down their spine.

At the 2010 Elimination Chamber, the entrance of Undertaker took a nasty turn. Taker was burnt in his own pyro and was in a bad condition. He had first and second degree burns in his body.

Taker, however, went on to finish his match with Chris Jericho and showed everyone why he is considered to be a legend in the business. Jericho talked highly about Taker's commitment in his book and also revealed that the match plans were not changed despite such serious injuries.
