NXT's top prospects outside of the 'NXT 5'

It’s very easy to oversee the remaining members of NXT’s roster, considering how high-profile the signings of Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami & Finn Balor were. Before the ink could dry, all three were being touted as the future of the WWE—despite never actually competing in the WWE, let alone NXT. They posed with Triple H—how proud was he?—They threw up the Wolfpac signs, as signs of loyalty to The COO, and they all got new suits in the process. Throw into the mix former NXT Champion, Adrian Neville and NXT’s new people’s champion, Sami Zayn. And you’ve got The NXT Five. Today, I count down the equally hard working individuals that are destined for success regardless, NXT’s other top prospects.

#5 Bayley.

What we often see in women's wrestling is a lot of the same-same. Most notably it's a combination of Heel traits and characteristics most commonly associated with the likes of Lay-Cool or The Beautiful People, then once in a while someone breaks from the norm and it gives rise to diva like AJ Lee or Paige.

Bayley is not only one hell of a worker, but one hell of a developing character. Something largely forgotten on the women's division. And much like Lee & Paige, Bayley is character in every sense of the word.

Excitable, energetic and passionate, yet Bayley's underdog story means fans are invested. Her trials and tribulations and her failed bid to capture the NXT Women's Championship has captured the hearts of the NXT Universe, and have left many heartbroken in her defeat.

Bayley is the AJ Lee of tomorrow, and much like Lee & Paige, Bayley is a new type of diva for a new generation.

#4 Baron Corbin.

The Lone Wolf, standing 6'8" and weighing in at 275lbs, is an archetype WWE heavyweight. The looks, the size, the pressence and an ever improving skill set. Baron Corbin in a lot of ways is the next Roman Reigns.

Much like Reigns, Corbin is a dominate, power-based athlete and is in every sense of the word—a sleeping giant. Both exhibit a sense of, cool. The Fonz Factor. Something that can't be taught or coached. Something that instantly grabs the attention of the crowd.

The man is a monster in the waiting, look to see Baron Corbin challenge Kevin Owens by the years end for the title of most feared competitor in NXT.

#3 Kalisto.

The King of Flight is already a well established name in professional wrestling, like Mysterio and Mistico, Kalisto brings something completely different to the WWE Universe, that impressive Luchalibre style.

Where others have failed and others have fallen, most notably the original Sin Cara, since Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio are no longer in the WWE, look to Kalisto to fill the void as the next big Latin-American Superstar.

Style, marketability and the entertainment value off the hook, Kalisto is one hell of a WWE prospect that will surely capture the hearts and minds of kids and casual fans.

#2 Sasha Banks.

Sasha Banks exhibits that sense of confindence. Whether it's purely arrogance radiating through her character or not, it works.

Like much of her former NXT sisters in Emma & Paige, Sasha Banks is one hell of a worker and one hell of a performer. Whether it's on the mic, on in the ring—The Boss delivers. Simple as that, there's not that much more to say, Sasha Banks is the future of the Diva's Division hand down.

#1 Tyler Breeze.

Tyler Breeze is a star in the making. The IT factor, the skill set, the character and the looks. Tyler Breeze is everything you want from a performer.

We've talked about a sense of cool, that Fonz Factor, we've talked about marketability, we've talked about mic skils, ring skills, that ability to exhibit a sense of confidence—Tyler Breeze is all of that.

I said, Tyler Breeze is a star in the making, yet he's still something of a diamond in the rough. The right tweaking, the right visual presentation and Tyler Breeze will be a Superstar.

It's truly only a matter of time for Tyler Breeze. #thefuture.
