3 Reasons why Sting vs. Seth Rollins is 'Best for Business'

WWE World Heavyweight Champion and US Champion

Bone-chilling returnSeth Rollins defeated John Cena at the SummerSlam PPV and became the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the US Champion. Seth asked Triple H and Stephanie to add his name to the list of elites by unveiling his statue on RAW. The power couple agreed to this and the preparations were made. Just when the cloth that veiled the statue went up, the Barclays center erupted with 'Sting' chants. It was the 'Icon' that appeared out of nowhere and shocked everyone. After a long absence, Sting appeared in the squared circle and took out the Champion. He has stuck it to 'The Authority' again and gave a message by holding the WWE Championship signalling that he was on a mission to acquire the title. The same evening after RAW, an official announcement was made that Sting will fight Seth Rollins at the upcoming 'Night of Champions' PPV for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This opens up a lot of possibilities and this match is obviously 'Best for Business'. Let's see why-

#3 Rollins will not lose momentum even after a loss

WWE World Heavyweight Champion and US Champion

This match at NOC will only feature the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Due to some reasons, the US title was not included in the picture. The same night on RAW, Cena told Jon Stewart that he doesn't mind losing the match but he is worried that Rollins is now the US Champion as well! You generally expect a rematch between Cena and Rollins at NOC but all of a sudden Sting came into the picture. Any guesses?

Even if Rollins loses the title at NOC, he will not lose his momentum because he still has some unfinished business with Cena. There is also a possibility that Cena could get involved in the mix and make it a triple threat for the next PPV. If not these two, they could even put Rollins temporarily as a mid-carder and ask him to put on some great matches for the US title. There is no way that Rollins will lose his momentum no matter what happens in this match.

#2 Opening for Sting/Sheamus

Looks awesome! Doesn’t it?

'The Vigilante' obviously did not get the start he deserved in the WWE. He lost to Triple H in his very first match in the company. So, why not give Sting a big chance to prove his mettle. Sting would win the title and entertain us for a good 2-3 years by fighting at the main event level and retire. This legend surely deserves a Championship run in the WWE. If WWE really plans to do this, Rollins is the best opponent for Sting let alone Lesnar or Cena.

Now let us look at the other side of the coin. If 'The Authority' comes to the rescue of Rollins again and lets him win the match then it would be an ideal chance for Sheamus. He is impressive as a heel and this would open a possibility for Sheamus to cash-in his contract and win the title.

#1 Setting the stage for The Undertaker vs. Sting

Is this the perfect opportunity?

Sting vs. The Undertaker- There are a lot of speculations that this could become a reality. If WWE really plans something on these lines, this match would be an ideal opportunity for the company to set the stage for this match. Imagine this- Sting was about to cover Rollins for the win and suddenly the lights go off. Undertaker appears out of nowhere and attacks Sting.

The phenom would align with 'The Authority' and play the heel one last time in his career. Undertaker has some unfinished business with Lesnar and for all this to happen, both these men should settle their scores first. So, why not schedule a match between Brock and Taker at the next PPV and this time, let Sting get his redemption. A good 3-4 months time before WrestleMania 32 would produce a great storyline for the match between the 'The Deadman' and 'The Icon'.
