5 current wrestlers who may not be in the Rumble match

Kalisto looks to retain the U.S title from Del Rio after a surprisingly brief reign

The Rumble match could miss the chaos that Ambrose brings to the tableA week away from the Royal Rumble – are you excited? This will be the 29th year of the Rumble and it's still one of the most exciting PPv's that WWE has all year long. This means that the Road To Wrestlemania is officially underway, which also means the next few months are pivotal in building up for the ‘Grandest Stage of them all’. This year Roman Reigns will defend his title in the Royal Rumble match. It's again a One Vs All situation that he's faced on countless occasions before. Pretty sure it means that taking off the title from him will be an unforeseen event, but something that the universe will be rooting for so that Raw seems exciting and worth looking forward to.Here are the 5 current wrestlers who may not be in the Rumble match-

#5 Kalisto

Kalisto looks to retain the U.S title from Del Rio after a surprisingly brief reign

Kalisto walks into the Royal Rumble PPV as the challenger to Del Rio’s U.S title he lost on Smackdown, just two days after deservedly winning it on RAW.

There is no guarantee that he won’t participate in the Royal Rumble but coming into the PPV looking to reclaim the title signals towards him being away from the main event. Given that 13 superstars have already been announced for that match and with some surprise entrants also making their way, it seems Kalisto will have to wait for next year to be in this very anticipated match.

He faces Alberto Del Rio who may also face the same fate.

#4 Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio will look to retain the US title against Kalisto

He may be one of those wrestlers who have a very impressive resume despite being one of the least interesting characters WWE has ever produced.

Well, if his Destiny gimmick wasn’t viciously intolerable enough, they now have him back in the realm of the WWE with a very derailed ‘Mex- America’ storyline – which seems to have been given a break recently.

Him entering the Rumble is not far fetched, but maybe something WWE can do away with since he already has a championship match that night.

#3 Zack Ryder

No chance, maybe, of a ‘Woo Woo Woo’ chant going

Though, it’ll be pretty cool to see him back, we all know it won’t amount to much.

Ryder is doing much better in NXT being teammates with Mojo Rawley. The ‘Woo Woo Woo’ hitting the arena come Sunday may be a welcome addition to the match but it’s highly impossible that Ryder will make a main roster appearance, since that very phenomenon has drastically decreased over the past few years.

So, you may not expect Ryder to be part of this year’s Rumble,

#2 Kevin Owens

Owens will be in a last man standing match

Okay, so a Last Man Standing match isn’t really something that can be done away with.

It has to be astutely written to be well executed and is one of the most taxing wrestling matches ever. And Owens will be facing Dean Ambrose in such a stipulation for the prize that is the Intercontinental Championship.

Arguably, KO and the Lunatic Fringe are two of the best competitors WWE has right now and with the recent additions to the injury list, they may not want to them to pull off double duty, by first having an exhausting and brutal match and then wrestling the night away in the Rumble match.

#1 Dean Ambrose

Ambrose has a tough match to look into at the Rumble

If Kevin Owens is on this list, Ambrose can’t be far away.

Ambrose – the IC Champion – is set to face Owens in a Last man standing match. Now, Ambrose also happens to be one of the most over superstars on the roster. They won’t want him to be unceremoniously eliminated like last time when his ‘brother’ Roman Reigns is again predicted to win the Rumble this year.

Also, the stipulation that awaits him that night will probably render him to take rest while the Rumble match is in progress. While we’ll miss his chaotic energy, it may be expected that Ambrose will be absent from the main event.
