5 Questions that need to be answered after WrestleMania 32

Is it time for Vince to shun the stubbornness regarding Reigns as the next top babyface?

The sight most of the fanbase wishes doesn’t come to fruition againLess than two weeks and counting. Now that WrestleMania 32 is now on the horizon and matches have been determined, the waiting game begins and fans and the media alike will form their own opinions long before the show begins. That’s how professional wrestling thrives in a time like this. The show has to be better than the hype, but the hype has to substantial enough in leading us to actually see witness the show. It’s confusing and makes sense all at the same time. This years’ event isn't so much about the matches that takes place, rather what happens after everyone leaves Dallas? What sustained impact will there be? How will this year top last year on the west coast and how well will fans adapt if Roman Reigns walks out with the WWE World Title on his shoulder?I am one of the many who are a bit fearful that this will all fall flat with little excitement and a lot of anger in the aftermath. These are questions left unanswered. There are more questions this event and the weeks following have to answer. Here are a few to ponder.

#1 Who is next for Roman Reigns?

Is it time for Vince to shun the stubbornness regarding Reigns as the next top babyface?

A lot of this has to do with whether Reigns remains the babyface everyone hates or if the kiddy gloves are finally taken off and Vince McMahon allows him to turn heel.

Everyone wants to see him face Dean Ambrose as true opponents, not as “brothers” who play great character roles in a Happy Days skit. There is plenty of potential in a real feud between the former Shield members.

I like the idea of a feud with Kevin Owens or even with AJ Styles, but that might be a little too soon to book. Fans would eat it up, but Styles might get some backstage heat for a meteoric rise he does not deserve.

Other ideas could involve Seth Rollins when he returns and of course, John Cena and the elusive 16th WWE World Title.

#2 Is this Chris Jerichos swan song?

WWE needs to exploit the timeless potential of a Heel Y2J

Possibly, but there is still plenty left in the tank for the six-time world champion.

Jericho is the perfect opponent for AJ Styles, but it is a feud that cannot go on forever. Jericho’s greatness lies in his heel persona, which is magnified by the fact that every fan loves Styles to a fault.

When Jericho comes out of this feud, which babyface steps up and becomes the next opponent? Ambrose is a possibility or maybe a young lion on the roster like Sami Zayn or if Cody Rhodes ever decided to change characters again. I also like the potential of a Dolph Ziggler confrontation.

That might make more sense than any other scenario

#3 Will there be more debate in the Divas Division?

The roster is beaming with potential

The potential of a Triple Threat Match between Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks is as big as matches involving Trish Stratus and Lita. But there are plenty of other side stories that must formulate and play out.

The problem with the women in the company (as a whole), is the overstock of talent and not enough storylines to go around. Naomi, Natalya, Brie Bella and Tamina are extremely talented and at some point, Bayley will join the fray. There will be more to write about and less to cheer about.

The company should bring back the tag titles. There should be more attention built on other great rivalries. Somewhere in all of this, WWE has to figure out what to do with Eva Marie, Summer Rae and Lana.

If the company figures it all out, then this might be a solid summer of cat fighting.

#4 Is Owens/Styles a given?

A big-money feud if booked to perfection

It looks that way. I love the concept, but I wonder where it goes and for how long.

Owens is the Intercontinental Champion and possibly the heir apparent to the WWE World Title. A confrontation between Owens and Reigns could be epic. Styles looks to be the new Jericho and will help make this feud an instant classic.

But should he claim the Intercontinental belt, will it derail the momentum or will he get a chance to wrestle for the company’s top prize?

Too many wrestlers have been caught in the quicksand once they win the IC Title. WWE had the intelligence to quickly take the belt off Dean Ambrose so he could tease a potential world title win. Owens is way too talented to be stuck in the mire of sorts. The match itself will be a great change to the stale confrontations that do not deliver.

If this does happen – cosidereing Owens has called Styles out plenty of times on his Twitter account, it should be one of the better feuds of the year.

#5 Does Brock Lesnar/Bray Wyatt finally happen?

We can only hope this feud is worth the wait

The reason it’s not moving forward right now is the condition of Wyatt’s back, which should be a concern for the company and fans. That’s why the two did not compete at Roadblock.

This is the match that could blow the doors off SummerSlam if booked properly. I am waiting anxiously for the day when Wyatt and Paul Heyman trade verbal barbs and the fans go wild. It is the key to a successful program in a promotion and there won’t be any issue with that.

I would also love to see if Lesnar goes back to his heel persona and the company starts to move Wyatt towards more of a babyface role, much like The Undertaker. There is plenty of potential and a chance to make this a Rock-Austin like feud.

It isn’t a matter of should it happen, rather when it will happen that matters most.
