We’re on the road to Wrestlemania after the conclusion of the Royal Rumble. The first PPV of the year was quite the show. It was a well- executed PPV from the first match till the end.The fallout episode of Raw was well anticipated because of these reasons but despite some things working well, there were many things that appeared to be redundant. This show wasn’t as good as it could have been after some great storytelling that happened 24 hours prior.There were many things that did not work or maybe they worked for whoever wrote it and then the writing was plain appalling.Hence here are the 3 things that did not work at all -
#3 Paige\'s character
There was much to complain about on this show, especially Paige’s booking. She’s back from a concussion and she’s now a babyface after being a heel of the highest order against Charlotte.
She lost fair and square but that in no way means that she needs to be doing something entirely pointless in tag match with Natalya against Team Bella. That was just another reminder for the audience about Total Divas, while we could really use Paige in a storyline with Charlotte or Lynch or Banks after all the good matches they’ve had.
#2 Bray Wyatt vs Kane
Seriously, not many cared about this match. These two are the most kayfabe characters around but there was just no interest in them. It would have been better to keep Wyatt off television until Lesnar returns and addresses what Wyatt and his clan did to him at the Rumble.
It is but obvious that these two will collide at WrestleMania but Lesnar’s absence and this match really did not get anything across. It was just plain filler and you don’t want that if you’re supposed to be wary of all this character can do.
#1 The Rock\'s promo
It’s always fun to have The Rock back because nobody can question the charisma he exudes but the writing for his promo the entire time he was there was just plain bad. The most tasteless thing of all were his comments on Lana which was maybe WWE trying to bury her in their own way since there is allegedly heat on her for revealing news of her engagement to the media.
He had a less than spectacular segment with New Day only to introduce his family The Usos to beat the heck out of them.
