Top 5 WWE Rumors of the Week and Analysis: 12 October, 2014

It was all about milestones and surprise returns this week in WWE and the same could be said about the top rumors from last seven days.Rock’s appearance in Raw out of nowhere has sparked a lot of rumors and the fans are high as ever about seeing him in between the ropes again.Elsewhere, the long running dream of Hulk Hogan looks set to materialize much to the misery of fans and the particular opponent he would be paired up against.TNA’s bad run also was mentioned among the speculations as well when their top star started discussions with the WWE. There were rumors about the WWE’s injured list as well and here is a compilation of the best rumors from this week and their possible effects.

#5 Hogan vs. Cena might happen

A couple of months back Hulk Hogan expressed his desire to wrestle one more match with John Cena being his pick as the opponent. At the age of 61, Hogan’s dream seems hard to digest but the WWE might be going for it.

Match between Hogan and Cena has the capability of selling out arenas all across the globe no matter how botched the match would be.

From a commercial standing point it would be a runaway success but from a wrestling point of view, having the two wrestle would be disastrous. Both men have a good legacy at this moment and a match like this would certainly ruin it.

Hopefully, Hogan wouldn’t get his medical clearance for WrestleMania 31 because if he does, it would be one move that he would regret in the future.

#4 Christian being kept out

Christian is one of those superstars in the WWE roster who has been incredibly loyal to the promotion. Though he went on to have a forgettable spell in TNA, it would be unfair to question his locality towards WWE.

The fans also find it easy to love captain charisma that was having a long injury layoff. Christian is almost recovered from the effects of that injury but the company is hesitant to put him in between the ropes due to his rich history of concussions.

A major portion of the WWE fan base however sees this as the inefficiency of the creative who cannot find an angle for the veteran.

If the company is looking to keep Christian out of the ring, they should find something else for the former World Champions because he is too good to be kept out from the roster.

#3 More from Hunter and Rock

Rock’s return to WWE was one of the biggest moments of last week. Many will remember it for the segment he had with Lana and Rusev but at SmackDown, the company gave something better for the WWE Universe.

Rock and Hunter brushed up their feud in the 15th anniversary of SmackDown and seeing two pillars of the Attitude Era going head to head with words proved to be a treat.

The duo was talking about another match at WrestleMania and the angle might be the start of something big.

There are rumors making the rounds suggesting the same for WrestleMania 31 and if it happens, WWE would end up with a credible show. Lesnar – Reigns and Sting – Undertaker are the other matches rumored for the event and if that’s the case, fans wouldn’t mind Cena giving Hogan a farewell.

#2 Kurt Angle in talks with WWE

Angle’s return to WWE is one of the hot topics out there is in the rumor pile. He has spent a long time in TNA and he clearly helped the promotion to get some name in the business.

His contract with TNA however ran out on September which has left Angle as a free agent though he makes occasional appearance for Dixie Carter. And after rumors about Triple H not wanting Angle back in WWE, the company seems to have started discussions with the Olympic gold medalist.

Angle apparently doesn’t want to work full time with the promotion due to health concerns which was the same reason why Vince McMahon let Angle go in the first place.

A reduced schedule for the 45 year old is current in talks according to the rumor and if Angle comes in, then that would be some sunshine amidst the clouds.

#1 Sting to start working in WWE from January

The decade long moment in the building for Sting’s debut in WWE just might materialize in January next year. After his association with WWE 2k15, Sting’s merchandise is available in the WWE shops which further hints at a possible debut.

Debuting in January would help the Icon to build up for WrestleMania and the it would be a farewell match meaning that his first match would be his last match in WWE.

Undertaker is still the favorite to face Sting at the Grand Daddy of them but Taker’s health status keeps the plan up in the air.

WWE doesn’t have much back up plans to be frank even if names like Bray Wyatt and Triple H are being circulated if this week’s rumors were to materialize, then WrestleMania 31 would be one hell of a show.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
