The WWE Draft has brought Nia Jax to the main roster but Bayley is yet to arrive. Maybe, Bayley will get a bigger moment when she finally doesn arrive to the big league. And she deserves it to say the least. The only reason she is assumed to be still being at NXT is because there is not babyface star who can stop her shine.
But even Bayley making it to the main roster will be quite eventful as it will have what NXT has had and taken advantage of in the past few years- a deeper division of female wretslers.
Jax and The Hugster have already been established as characters with their various storylines.
Here are the 5 reasons why Bayley and Nia Jax are exactly what the main roster has been lacking and everything that the main roster absolutely needs-
#1 Baleyface
There is no babyface in the entire women’s division in WWE who’s as over as a babyface as Bayley. More than 4 years in NXT has done wonders to her character and made her a person you just can’t help but cheer for.
Her matches, despite the spoiler alerts, despite being pre- taped and despite being predictable always leave you at the edge of your seat. Because Bayley.
Every little expression of hers be it doubt, apprehension or just plain happiness leaves an impression.
She is to NXT what Hulk Hogan and John Cena have ever been to the WWE. She’s the biggest,most positive role model, especially for women of all ages.
There isn’t such a pure babyface at the moment, except maybe the way Lynch is being built.
#2 Nia Jax – A girl apart
Charlotte may be conniving and annoying but she isn’t a monster who’ll squash just about anyone. Nia Jax is.
She’s break you and tear you apart and is a performer who has consistently improved. She has that star presence that much of her family members exude. From being a model to being a wrestler, it’s been quite a different path. Her character is darker than Bayley and when last we saw her, she’s added more moves to her arsenal.
This division hasn’t seen a monster heel of her caliber in a long, long time.
You never know, she may just enter the Royal Rumble one day.
Bayley’s Rivalries
The biggest thing that the women’s division will get with Bayley’s arrival is the continuation of her brilliant storyline with Sasha Banks.
Much has been speculated that she can be Banks’ mystery partner at Battleground and this partnership may not be much different from the partnerships that Lynch, Charlotte and Banks herself had when they made their debuts on Raw but, It’s Bayley!
With Bayley joining Sasha Banks, the main roster can once again boast of having a main event storyline that involves two women. This kind of storyline can be made between any two women. But the writing for these two particularly has been most beautiful, courtesy of the NXT
#4 New Feuds
Nia Jax hasn’t had much competition in NXT.
The ones who’ve stood in her path to the win the NXT Women’s Championship have been Bayley and Asuka. Jax hasn’t had as many challenges compared to someone like Bayley or Banks.
In the main roster, she has so much to look forward to.
Now that Raw is the brand she’s been drafted to- there’s Banks, Charlotte, Dana Brooke and maybe Nikki Bella in the future. They are more challenging and formidable than whoever, apart from Asuka and Bayley, she faced in NXT.
She can even start an alliance with Stephanie McMahon, which may or may not be successful but worth a try.
#5 Feuds with Authority
Bayley, till now, has had more experience of working under a babyface authority figure like William Regal.
Now, assuming she goes to Raw which has the Women’s Championship and her starry rival in Banks, she will be working under Stephanie McMahon- a heel authority figure. It’ll be the meeting of two absolute polar opposite.
Two women who garner extreme reactions from the crowd.
Only Bayley can help McMahon gain some unrivalled heal heat and only McMahon can make Bayley seem that much sympathetic.
It’ll certainly be interesting, if a feud ignites between these two.
