5 Reasons why WWE fans need to stop hating Roman Reigns.

Bubemi
Roman Reigns’ real name is Leati Joseph Anoa'i.

There comes a point in time where the IWC must admit they were wrong. I know you don't want Roman Reigns to be the face of WWE but at the very least, give him a break now that he's not doing the things you initially hated him for. Recently it's become a thing to boo Reigns but I'm not sure fans actually hate him anymore.

And if they do, they definitely don't know why they still do. They loved him in 2014, then 2015 came round and the Daniel Bryan tsunami hit. Ever since then fans have booed him out of every arena in the World for no legit reason. But let me tell you why your anger is misdirected and you should give Roman a break.

#5 WWE needs new Top Guys

Roman Reigns is related to Rikishi & Umaga.

People complain about John Cena hogging the spotlight but when the WWE put all their eggs in the Roman Reigns basket the fans reject him, why? New top guys are needed to cater to a newer audience and Roman Reigns was that new face.

For the main event scene to be healthy and fresh the WWE requires a rotation of guys at the top. The reason why the Attitude Era was successful was due to the fact that we had Austin, Rock, Triple, H, Undertaker all rotating in the main event spots; the more stars there are, the healthier the card looks.

More main eventers are needed now more than ever to help draw house show crowds, especially with the brand split.

If you want the WWE to succeed why wouldn't you want Roman Reigns to succeed?

#4 He delivers

Roman holds the record for the single most eliminations in the Royal Rumble.

For the past 1 year and a half, Roman Reigns has been the most consistent in-ring performer in the WWE, PPV after PPV the GUY delivers. Stupid chants like you can't wrestle have only spurred the 31-year old Samoan to greater heights.

He adds a new move to his repertoire every match alongside new spots, new sequences new levels of excitement. For what he lacks in mic skills he makes up for with stellar PPV matches. He has become a main event player that can finally be trusted to deliver on the biggest of stages.

#3 He's taken a step back

Roman Reigns is a 3-time WWE Champion.

He's not in the main event picture anymore, so what's the problem? A lot of hate towards the Samoan have stemmed from him constantly getting title opportunities time and time again in a short period of time, but recently Roman has taken a back seat to help save WWE's dwindling mid-card.

He hasn't even hogged the spotlight in the mid-card either, he's been pinned clean three times this year alone and suffered multiple losses. It's practically unheard of for a 'top' face in the company to take clean losses, heels get pinned clean regularly but not faces.

He's put his Shield brethren over cleanly and even internet darling, Finn Balor.

He was never really in the Universal Title picture, we all knew his feud with Rusev was going to continue. It's good to have a solid mid-card/upper card. He's NOT hogging the spotlight, he's sharing it and now he's helping Rusev elevate the US title like Cena did.

#2 Tweener potential?

Reigns has 2.1 million followers on Twitter.

It's time for the era of tweeners to return, in a day & age where the thin line between face and heel is becoming thinner than ever it's time for the WWE to have a top tweener. A superstar that doesn't do heelish or faceish things, just entertaining things.

Reigns need to be made into a badass superstar that doesn't have to talk too much on TV. Less talk, more action. He has the potential to be this generation's Austin, wait wait don't get angry just hear me out.

Austin was never meant to be a face – the creative team tried their hardest to portray him as a heel but the crowd refused to boo him, in the end they just let him do reckless things and the world loved it.

Let's give Reigns that creative freedom, make people tune in just to see what mayhem he's going to cause next.

#1 You pay to see him

Reigns has already main evented two Wrestlemanias.

Let's face it, other than Cena nobody else gets a reaction like Roman Reigns whether he's in the main event or not. He's not a top draw yet but he's well on his way to becoming one. He's marketable, good looking and athletic.

Kids love the superman persona, women love his dashing looks whilst the men label him as Cena 2.0, either way, there's interest in him. Memorable moments are created when the crowd are invested in the talent.

You can have as many 5* WRASSLING matches as you want but if the crowd don't care, nobody will remember it. Think of the most memorable moments of in recent WWE history, Reigns has been in them, why? Because like it or not, people are invested in him whether it be hate or love.

At the end of the day, the WWE needs several main event players in order to increase house show attendances, PPV buys and network subscriptions. There is room at the top for other stars that aren't necessarily your favourites.

Don't be selfish, leave Reigns alone.
