Backstage report on Rowan injury, timeline on Kidd's return, Ryback injured?

Erick Rowan despite being injured worked at last night’s live event

As noted, Erick Rowan suffered some type of injury at the WWE Live Event in Saginaw, Michigan this past weekend. The injury is believed to have been some type of arm injury, which according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, is significant and is going to keep Rowan out for some time. It is worth noting that despite being seriously injured, Rowan worked the next night’s live event.

As for Tyson Kidd, who noted on Twitter he will be undergoing surgery this Wednesday, the surgery will be the same neck operation that Steve Austin, Chris Benoit and Edge all had. The surgery is expected to keep Kidd out of action for over a year, as the usual return time table from that type of surgery is 14 months. So unlike Daniel Bryan, Kidd is opting to have full surgery, as opposed to a temporary fix to the injury.

Rumors have been circulating online that Ryback was injured during tonight’s WWE Smackdown tapings, but that is not the case. Ryback was selling a spot from Big Show. The wrestler is healthy as he later worked the dark match main event of the night where he, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns destroyed Big Show.
