As was originally thought, the working relationship between NJPW legend Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger and the WWE doesn’t look to be over, following NXT “TakeOver: Brooklyn”. Liger defeated Tyler Breeze in his maiden appearance for the WWE.
Another promoter told the Wrestling Observer Newsletter about how he tried to book Liger on some dates, but was told that the WWE had booked him out for the same. This could be a nod in the direction that Jushin Liger may be working under some sort of a contract similar to Samoa Joe, wherein he may work for WWE extensively while not being exclusive to the company and continue being the face of NJPW.
