- As per The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, 2K noted that John Cena is the best at cutting promos vis a vis the old-school style, going off just bullet points. Off the current talent roster, the only one who can hang with Cena with such promos was said to be Xavier Woods.
- Reports indicate that there was a push within WWE at one point for Roman Reigns to be on the cover of the WWE 2K 16 video game, which is set to come out. However, given the overall feeling that it would be of more meaning when promoting the game, WWE decided to go with Steve Austin instead.
