WWE Rumors: Goldberg signed a deal to appear at the Royal Rumble ahead of match with Brock Lesnar

Goldberg shocked the world at Survivor Series

The WWE Universe was shocked at Survivor Series when Goldberg defeated ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar in under two minutes to pick up a dominant victory. Goldberg was so dominant, in fact, that Lesnar was barely able to put together any offence before getting hit by two spears and a Jackhammer. Paul Heyman’s shocked look at ringside told the story as ‘The man from the planet Goldberg’ picked up an easy win on a supremely overconfident Lesnar.

The question now for Goldberg is.....what’s next?

According to prowrestlingsheet.com, the reason why Goldberg was handed such a dominant and devastating victory over Brock Lesnar is the fact that Goldberg reached a new agreement with the WWE shortly before Survivor Series. According to them, Goldberg reached an agreement with the WWE earlier this week to appear at the Alamodome in January to take part in the 2017 Royal Rumble that is scheduled to take place on 29th January, 2017. This will be Goldberg’s second Royal Rumble appearance if it does indeed happen.

We don’t have any word on Wrestlemania plans for Goldberg yet but after the reaction, he got from the fans tonight, it seems almost unfathomable that Vince won’t try to sign up his new golden goose to appear at the ‘Grand daddy of them all’ in April.

Goldberg’s last ‘Mania appearance came when he beat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XX in a match that in widely considered to be a stinker. Goldberg won on that night, as he did last night, leaving him with a 2-0 record on Brock Lesnar.
