Becky Lynch has defeated several top names in WWE, including Bianca Belair, Trish Stratus, and Charlotte Flair. The Man recently revealed why she never scored a submission victory over Ronda Rousey during her tenure with the promotion.

Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names in combat sports, having successfully transitioned from UFC to WWE. The Baddest Woman on the Planet started her pro wrestling career alongside multiple Hall of Famers in her debut match at WrestleMania 34 and was part of the global juggernaut until last year.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Lynch revealed that during the rehearsal for WrestleMania 35, TJ Wilson pitched a spot that would have seen Rousey on the verge of tapping out to her. The Man revealed the former champion rejected the idea and she respectfully agreed to it as she was set to win the match.

"And anyway, he's [Wilson] like, maybe you have Ronda in an armbar, she looks like she's about to tap out. And so Ronda comes and we tell her the creative and say and then you're almost about to tap out. Ronda says, 'Oh no, my mom wouldn't look me in the eye or talk to me again if I looked like I was about to tap out.' All right, well, she's probably not going to tap out on the finish. So you know, she never tapped out in her career. So I understood it, respected it, and moved on quickly." [H/T - CVV]

In August 2023, Shayna Baszler defeated Ronda Rousey via technical submission at WWE SummerSlam, marking the latter's final match in the company.

Becky Lynch explains why she never got a one-on-one match with Ronda Rousey in WWE

After Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut, there were several dream matches in store for her. The UFC Hall of Famer was booked as a dominant force during her first run, where she captured the RAW Women's Championship.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet went on a hiatus after dropping the title to Becky Lynch in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey. Sadly, the two women never crossed paths after the event.

During a conversation with the Daily Mail UK, Lynch revealed that circumstances and storylines didn't allow the two to lock horns in a one-on-one match.

It's unlikely that Rousey would have another showdown with Lynch, as she seemingly has no plans to go back to the global juggernaut.
