As seen on last night’s Smackdown Live PPV No Mercy, Luke Harper made his return to WWE programming interfering towards the conclusion of the main event clash between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton, assisting the Patriarch of the Wyatt Family in securing a victory over the Viper and re-establishing himself once again as the henchman of Wyatt.

WWE announced on RAW that Luke Harper will make his televised in-ring return on Smackdown Live. He will team up with Bray Wyatt to take on the team of Randy Orton and Kane. Smackdown Live will take place tomorrow in San Jose, California

Luke Harper made a shocking return at No Mercy, confronting the Apex Predator

Luke Harper has been out of action for the past seven months after suffering a torn patella on March 21, 2016, in a non-televised, dark match main event following Monday Night RAW.

After months of rigorous rehabilitation, Luke Harper returned and started wrestling in WWE live events on WWE’s recent tour of South America. He performed at four events in four days at Santiago (Chile), Lima (Peru) and Quito (Ecuador) and subsequently at No Mercy itself.

Luke Harper last wrestled on a Smackdown show at the March 8 tapings taking part in an 8 man tag team match where the Wyatt Family squared off against the team of Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose and The Usos which was televised on March 10, 2016.

Harper has been performing in WWE Live events during the past week

Luke Harper also wrestled at WWE network exclusive special event RoadBlock in a handicap teaming with Wyatt vs The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar

Luke Harper has been unanimously considered to be the best in-ring worker in the Wyatt Family possessing the versatility to work with opponents of different sizes and styles and displaying agility rarely seen from men of his stature and build.

Harper has shown that he can more than hold his own inside the squared circle. He is the only member of the Wyatt Family to have singles gold on his resume. Harper is a welcome addition to the Smackdown Live roster.

He would have definitely got lost in the shuffle on Monday Night RAW where there were rumours of him challenging Braun Strowman.

It would be interesting to see how the return of Harper will unfold and how the story progresses. It’s high time Harper is utilised to his full potential and with now him being on the blue brand where the creative are more focused on developing characters and progressing storylines, things are looking good for Harper.

His stellar ring work would just add to it. Luke Harper’s return opens up a lot of possibilities including a potential feud with the Eater of Worlds!
