Massive WWE star picks up 999th win

A top WWE Superstar is just a win away from completing 1000 wins in the company.

Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest superstars to ever step foot into the ring. He is still going strong at 49 years old. At the recent WWE Erie live event, Mysterio and Dragon Lee picked up a win over Angel and Berto. With the victory, Mysterio has now completed a whopping 999 wins in WWE.

The veteran is now just a single win away from completing a thousand victories in the promotion.

In late 2023, Rey Mysterio made an appearance on The MMA Hour. He shared his detailed thoughts on wrestling at his age. Check out his comments below:

"Obviously, the way I've been working for the past 34 years, I've modified my work a lot, for the best, but still being able to invest the audience in watching Rey Mysterio," he said. "I always like to come up, create moves that fans can say, 'Wow, he's still doing it.' That's part of my growth and has part of what's been keeping me healthy to be able to keep doing what I do. Sometimes they tell me, 'Bro, you don't have to keep doing this thing [where] you slide underneath the ropes and hit the ground.' Mysterio has done quite well for himself under the Triple H regime so far. He recently picked up a huge win over his son Dominik Mysterio. Rey and Andrade teamed up in a winning effort against Dirty Dom and Santos Escobar at WrestleMania XL. This was Mysterio's second straight WrestleMania victory over his son. Last year, the legend defeated Dominik in a singles match at WrestleMania 39 after feuding with him for months on end.
