Stone Cold Steve Austin recently offered his thoughts on celebrities like Logan Paul competing in WWE matches.

Dozens of entertainment personalities have made appearances in WWE, from Liberace and Muhammed Ali at WrestleMania 1 to Bad Bunny and Paul in recent years.

Some fans and wrestlers have a problem with celebrities taking television time away from permanent roster members. However, in an interview with Forbes' Alfred Konuwa, Austin made it clear that he has no issue with Paul wrestling for WWE:

"Well, if you go back, what, 20 some-odd years—maybe 25 and earlier—when they had Liberace and all the people from the showbiz world come in because they wanted to make WrestleMania just bigger than life. And it was. So they had incorporated that back then. But now we're seeing those participants actually participating in storylines in the ring. Logan Paul's been fantastic doing that."

Paul's most recent match ended in defeat against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39. In November 2022, he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel.

Steve Austin elaborates on Logan Paul's WWE success

Many celebrities have been accused of appearing in WWE simply to promote themselves. In Logan Paul's case, the YouTube sensation clearly takes WWE's brand of sports entertainment seriously.

Steve Austin has been impressed by Paul's WWE displays, especially considering he is still new to the wrestling industry:

"You can't just throw somebody out there, like, 'Hey, yeah, this person's really hot in the showbiz world,' and come out there and stink out the building with a poor performance. Logan Paul has thrived in that scene and it's a good thing. He has a great podcast, but the kid's done a hell of a job and they've given him the opportunity to get in that ring."

Paul's initial WWE contract expired on the day of his WrestleMania 39 match against Seth Rollins. Following the event, the 28-year-old announced on Twitter that he had signed a new deal with the company.
