Wrestling veteran explains how Dusty Rhodes would have reacted to Cody Rhodes' win at WWE WrestleMania 40 (Exclusive)

A wrestling veteran who worked with Dusty Rhodes believes he knows exactly how the WWE legend would have reacted to Cody Rhodes' massive win at this year's WrestleMania.

The American Nightmare did not disappoint his immensely large fanbase at The Showcase of the Immortals, as he finally defeated Roman Reigns despite the odds being stacked against him. The win was followed by one of the biggest applauses in WrestleMania history, which is not surprising since the event broke previous records of attendance and viewership.

Speaking on the latest edition of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Dusty's former colleague and WCW veteran Glacier (Ray Lloyd) stated:

"You know what just me personally, my opinion on that is, I think Dusty would have just stood there and really took it in. Just took it in, smiled and just, took it in and been proud of the moment where he wasn't necessarily the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, he was just a proud father. That's what I see." [3:40 onwards]

Cody Rhodes' path following WWE WrestleMania is uncertain, according to Vince Russo

While The American Nightmare received much praise and support for his win against Roman Reigns, Vince Russo thinks there are no good plans for him now.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, the WWE veteran explained that Cody's promos seem repetitive at this point, which may indicate there are no solid storylines for him in the near future:

"He has nothing, bro. I swear to God, when he went out there tonight to cut the promo, he started cutting the same promo he cut on SmackDown. I'm watching this and I'm like I just heard this on SmackDown bro. So we've literally got nothing for the world champion to do bro, nothing."
