No company for Brock in Tokyo?, Rolling Stones praise Kevin Owens, WWE Half-Year Awards

Paul Heyman would not be accompanying Brock Lesnar to Tokyo

- Paul Heyman was originally advertised for the 7/4 WWE “Beast in the East” live event, which will see Brock Lesnar face Kofi Kingston. However, Heyman has been pulled from advertisements for the show so it appears as if he will not be making the trip to Japan with the WWE crew.

A move to pull Heyman, who was originally scheduled to make the trip, make it seem increasingly unlikely that anything will occur that would impact Brock's program with current champ Seth Rollins, who isn't making the journey across the Pacific, either.

- It’s rare to find a WWE superstar to make a huge impact on the WWE main roster in such a short time. Not even guys like John Cena changed the landscape of the company as quickly as Kevin Owens. Already coming in with over-10 years of experience, Owens is the current-WWE NXT champion and is feuding with John Cena on the main roster.

Along with building a feud with the WWE’s top star, he already has two matches that can be considered as “Match of the Year” winners. Both bouts with Cena were five stars. So it was no-surprise when Kevin Owens was chosen by Rolling Stone earlier today as the “Wrestler of the Year,” so far this term. Here is what they wrote about Owens:

“In a matter of months, the father of two from Marieville, Quebec has not only stared down his potential but surpassed it, becoming a lynchpin of two promotions and building a character inspired by everything it took to get him to this point. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny his impact on the first six months of 2015 – or wonder how high he’ll climb by year’s end. It’s wrestling, folks. It’s Kevin Owens.”
