On this day in 1999, Survivor Series was held in Detroit, Michigan. This PPV received a lot of criticism from the fans when a dream match between the top 3 stars of the Attitude Era: The Rock, Triple H & Stone Cold was scrapped. WWF ran an angle where Stone Cold was hit by a car, resulting in him being unable to wrestle in the main event. Big Show replaced Austin in the main event and went on to win his first WWE Championship. This event also marked the WWF debut of one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, Kurt Angle.

Venis & Henry were the survivors.- The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Tori & Debra defeated Ivory, Luna Vachon, Jacquelyn & Terri Runnels when Moolah pinned Ivory.- Kane defeated X-Pac via DQ.- The Big Show defeated Big Bossman, Prince Albert, Mideon & Viscera in a handicap elimination match. Big Show was supposed to team with Blue Meanie & Kaientai, but he beat them up in the locker room before the match.- Intercontinental Champion Chyna defeated Chris Jericho.- Too Cool, Hardcore Holly & Crash Holly defeated Edge, Christian & The Hardys in an elimination match. Hardcore Holly with the survivor.- WWF Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws defeated Al Snow & Mankind.- Big Show (subbing for Steve Austin) defeated Triple H and The Rock in a Triple Threat match to win the WWF World Title.
