Former WWE Star Rey Mysterio joins Lucha Underground

After leaving the WWE, Rey Mysterio has signed for the Lucha Underground. He will be seen debuting on March 21st tapings in Los Angeles. Mysterio will also be changing his name by adding the "Jr." back to his name.

He dropped this prefix in 2002 when he joined the WWE.Apart from Rey Mysterio, Lucha Underground also has deals with Alberto El Patron to the point of ‘all going well’ that is if the promotion and takes off goes smoothly, they both will be “tied in” to official contracts.

To note, Lucha Underground can reach the number two promotion in terms of the viewers in the United States soon. Also, Lucha Underground will soon be seen airing their show in Univision instead of UmiMas channel as the UmiMas channel airs in Spanish and is only broadcasted in 65 million US homes which constitutes only 55.8% of the subscribers.
