Rey Mysterio to return to the WWE?

There is a lot of speculation regarding the signing of top indie star Uhaa Nation by the WWE. Apparently, he was offered a development deal but there has been nothing official regarding him giving a consent. There have also been rumours that he has not accepted the deal.

A while back WWE creative was told to start working on a return storyline for Rey Mysterio. The storyline was supposed to run from the Survivor Series pay-per-view until the end of WrestleMania 31. With Survivor Series long gone, the return storyline is now off. Now the question remains whether Rey Mysterio will make a comeback to WWE.

Apparently, Mysterio and WWE have agreed terms as Vince McMahon realizes that the company is short on top draws for the Hispanic market. As of now, Mysterio won’t be joining AAA’s Lucha Underground and he will be renewing his WWE contract when the current deal expires in May next year.

Rey may also end up doing a lot of work outside of the ring. Rey does have his differences with Vince, he’s been with WWE for a long time and has a lot of friends in the company. It likely comes down to economics as Rey probably won’t receive a better offer from any other company.
