Predictions for WrestleMania 34

The long awaited night is now very near.
The long-awaited night is now very near.

The matches are made, the stage is set and the wait is over.

WrestleMania, the night that every wrestling fan on the face of the planet awaits, is finally upon us. With only a handful days left for the “Showcase of Immortals”, here are the predictions for its complete match card.

#1 Dolph Ziggler will win Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

It is time to show the world.
It's time to show the world.

A couple of months ago, Dolph Ziggler relinquished the US title. He made a surprise comeback at the Royal Rumble PPV, but was eliminated in just over two minutes.

Since then, he has not achieved much in WWE. He relinquished the US title to become the main event player. Ironically, he is on the pre-show of the biggest show of the year.

It's high time for him to step up and win this year’s Battle Royal. This will give his career much-needed direction. He can then leverage his win as a stepping stone to face the winner of the WWE Championship match at Backlash, the pay-per-view after WrestleMania.

#2 The “Boss” will rule the Women’s Battle Royal

Will Sunday feature one more of her gutsy performances?
Will Sunday feature one of her gutsy performances?

Sasha Banks is one of the toughest women on the women's roster. Earlier this year, she delivered a remarkable performance at the Royal Rumble PPV. Notably, she competed for over 54 minutes.

It is quite probable that she will win the inaugural Women’s Battle Royal at the “Show of Shows”. However, she will face serious competition from the likes of Bayley and Becky Lynch.

Not to mention, Absolution and the Riott Squad will also be looking to bring glory to their respective factions. Although the odds favor the factions, impromptu teams do get formed in a Rumble match between the other participants to neutralize such factions.

#3 A champion will be crowned

It will surely be an action packed match.
It will surely be an action-packed match.

It has been months since the champion is crowned for the Cruiserweight division. To make things worse, this delay has happened due to all the wrong reasons. However, now the championship match is taking place on the biggest night of the year. Hence, the win couldn't get sweeter for the winner.

There is no doubt that Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali will steal the show. These two have the responsibility to represent the entire 205-Live roster.

The odds are almost equal for both of them, but Alexander seems to have an edge. Earlier this year, he was scheduled to face Enzo Amore (released from WWE) at the Royal Rumble PPV. His patience since then might bear him a good fruit on the grandest stage.

#4 The former policymakers will defeat the rebels

This has come down a long way.
This has come down a long way

Daniel Bryan will be making his much-anticipated return this Sunday. Not to mention, he is joining forces with "The man who has no fear", Shane McMahon.

Over the last couple of weeks, both of them were attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Their friendship came to fruition at the 'Hell in a Cell' PPV last year. Since then, they have been unstoppable on SmackDown Live. Interestingly, Daniel Bryan had a huge role in this as he supported both of them on multiple occasions.

This Sunday, the former Commissioner and the (former) General Manager of SmackDown Live will be looking to put a permanent stop to them.

#5 The "Maharaja" will win the Gold

The King should rule again.
The King must win the Championship.

This match features the core strength of the SmackDown Live’s locker room with the likes of Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Rusev and Jinder Mahal. Interestingly, apart from Jinder Mahal, all the other three participants have won the United States Championship in the past.

This Sunday could be the night the “Modern Day Maharaja” is looking since December 2017. Not only will this go well with the Heel character that he is playing, but also will let the “Viper” focus back to the WWE Championship.

Last year, Jinder Mahal lost the WWE Championship to AJ Styles a couple of weeks prior to the Survivor Series. Interestingly, he was already advertised to face Brock Lesnar at that PPV in a Champion vs. Champion match. This could be the opportunity for him to redeem himself.

#6 The mallets will get a golden strap

The mallets will keep swinging.
The mallets will be swinging in full force.

Until a couple of weeks back, the Bludgeon Brothers were completely out of the championship picture and were facing the mid-level tag-teams. However, now they have become a force to reckon with on the SmackDown Live's tag-team division.

Eric Rowan and Luke Harper have gained a lot of momentum in the last couple of weeks. It should come to its fruition on the biggest night of the year.

Either the Usos or the New Day have been the tag-team champions for far too long. Hence, it should not be the case again. Further, this title change also opens up the possibility for one of these two tag-teams to move to Raw.

#7 The battle for Supremacy

The power couple stood tall on Raw last week.
The power couple stood tall on Raw last week

The match between the “Power Couple” and the Olympians is majorly focused on the debut of the former UFC Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey. The feud saw it’s dawn when she put Triple H through a table. Ironically, last week she faced the same fate at the hands of Triple H’s wife, Stephanie McMahon.

Although Kurt Angle and Ronda are heavily speculated to win this match, what if Ronda Rousey decides to turn Heel?

WrestleMania 34 can feature a lot of shocking results and this might be one of them. She can join the Authority and run Monday nights, much similar to what Seth Rollins did a couple of years ago.

#8 The “Irresistible” Champion

The force unleashes.
The force will unleash.

The match between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss is all about the emotional scarring that the challenger took at the hands of her former friend, who also happens to be the current champion. A couple of weeks ago, Alexa Bliss uttered a lot of venomous words about the “Irresistible Force” while she unknowingly spoke backstage about her.

Although "The Goddess of WWE" doesn’t seem to stand much of a chance against her former-friend in a fair fight, having the former six-time champion Mickie James in her corner will definitely be an advantage. However, this should not stop the crowning of the “irresistible” champion.

#9 The mystery partner will be the Big Show

The monster among men might get manhandled.
The monster among men might get manhandled.

The curiosity about who might be the tag-team partner of Braun Strowman has surpassed the prestige of the Raw tag-team championships. The WWE Universe is really rumored-up about who will be the fourth piece of this puzzle.

There are a couple of superstars who will be missed at WrestleMania. What if the Big Show is not one of them? The 500-pound giant seems to be the best bet for being the mystery partner.

Not only is he at par with the overwhelming physique of the “Monster Among Men”, but also he will add to the horrors of the reigning champions, the Bar, as they will have to face nearly a thousand pounds of power.

Ironically, if this indeed happens, it is quite possible that the Big Show turns against his own partner. This will ignite a “monstrous” storyline for months to come as the Bar sneaks out with the victory.

#10 The triple threat match

Will Miz be the champion after WM 34?
Will Miz be the champion after WM 34?

Much like the US title match, this match will showcase the strength of the Raw roster as three of their very best compete for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. Truth be told, more focus is on who will be the new champion rather than whether the Miz could defend the title.

This scenario is very much like WrestleMania 24 when Randy Orton had to defend the WWE Championship against Triple H and John Cena. The focus was entirely on who would be the new champion, but the “Viper” walked out with his gold.

It is very probable that the Miz pulls a victory “outta nowhere” and gifts the championship to his newly born baby girl.

#11 The Empress will humble the Queen

This could be fatal for the
This can turn out to be fatal for the "Queen".

This match is one of the most anticipated matches of the night as the undefeated Asuka takes on the Charlotte Flair. The “Empress of Tomorrow” is on one hell of a run since she made her debut on WWE. However, she must win the Championship to justify her title of the “Empress”.

Charlotte Flair has proved herself as the "Queen" of the Women’s division on SmackDown Live. Their match will also let us know whether the Japanese wrestler is ready for the Finger-8 submission move, which is Charlotte's specialty.

The best possible way to end this match could be to have Charlotte Flair losing her consciousness to the Asuka Lock (rather than tapping out).

#12 The house-builder will stand tall

This will mark his win over the entire roster.
This will mark his win over the entire SmackDown Live roster.

AJ Styles takes pride in calling SmackDown Live as the house that he built. Honestly speaking, he deserves every bit of his statement. He has continued to amaze us since the time he has stepped foot in the WWE ring.

Although Shinsuke Nakamura has won the Royal Rumble earlier this year, he has not done much in WWE in comparison to AJ Styles. There is no doubt to the fact that this match is going to be the dream match, but the accolades which are achieved by each of the participants favor the “Phenomenal One”.

It could very well be one of those years when the Royal Rumble winner doesn’t make it big on the biggest night of the year.

#13 Roman Reigns will take back his yard

A rematch after three years.
A rematch after three years.

For three weeks in a row, Roman Reigns has faced Brock Lesnar in the ring, the ring which Roman claims as his yard. However, for three weeks in a row, the “Beast Incarnate” has decimated the “Big Dog” out of his own yard.

WrestleMania should be the night when “The Guy” takes back his yard. There are rumors that suggest Paul Heyman will turn against his client, but this would defy Reigns the opportunity to finally become the face that WWE is trying to make him.

Hence, he is expected to defeat the current WWE champion in a fair fight.

#14 The match for the ages

Will this happen again?
Will this happen again?

By far, this is one of the most “cleverly” promoted matches in the history of the WrestleManias. This is the most anticipated match on the show, and ironically, it is also the one which is not on the official match card.

The crowd at New Orleans is going to be deafening when the bike of the “American Badass” roars at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Given the unprecedented build up, the Undertaker is carrying a lot of momentum going into this match.

He has made a healthy recovery from his hip surgery. Now the “Deadman” will quite possibly bury the soul of the sixteen times World Champion. This might change the landscape of WWE after WrestleMania.
