It looks like Tommy Dreamer could be one of the stars returning to WWE roster for the upcoming Brand Split. As Dailywrestlingnews.com reports, Dreamer was sighted backstage at this week’s Smackdown taping.
Although he didn't make a on-screen appearance, his presence is still seen as a positive sign for his future with the company.It's notable here that the former ECW Champion has had an on-and-off relationship with the company ever since he was released back in 2010. Over the years, after his release, Dreamer has appeared on many live events for the company while appearing on-screen a number of times as well.He last appeared on WWE TV during the time of November last year where he teamed up with the Dudley Boys and Rhyno to feud with the Wyatt Family. The feud lasted a couple of months and the team of Dreamer along with other fellow ECW veterans ended up on the losing side.After that Dreamer hasn't appeared on the main WWE programming but has made several live event appearances while appearing on numerous Network Exclusive shows as well. Along with this, he also wrestled a match on NXT.
