While WWE has built Fastlane solely around the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar, the importance that other segments and matches hold on the road to WrestleMania 32 cannot be undermined.
The Cutting Edge Peep Show featuring Edge and Christian would see New Day as the special guests at Fastlane, which is excepted to be the fun-filled segment on the card. While a majority of the fans have bashed the idea behind the segment instead of the tag titles being on the line, WWE may have a huge plan unfold as part of the segment.
According to Huffington Post, the rumor going around is that Edge and Christian will be introducing NXT tag team Enzo Amore and Big Cass to the main roster in the segment. An impromptu tag team Championship match against the New Day at Fastlane is also being reported to happen.
The entire scenario would be an amazing swerve if it does come to fruition and would be the perfect main roster debut Amore and Cass – who would be accompanied by Carmella if they make the move up.
The dynamic between the two teams – New Day and Enzo and Cass, would work wonders as both have that edginess to their respective characters that could make for some good chemistry.
As we are hours away from the pay-per-view, all we can wish is for the rumor to come true.
