Tamara “Tammy” Lynn Sytch, the first Diva of WWE(then WWF) has been admitted to the hospital since the past Monday. She was said to be rushed to the hospital from her home in Pennsylvania.
Tammy said that she had a 1.5cm cyst in her pancreas somewhere in March and now it is 3cm long. According to her facebook page, she may need to have her gall bladder removed and she's been in constant abdominal pain for a while.
The Hall of Famer has had a past tormented with arrests, health issues, fines and DUI cases all throughout her post WWe career. In her autobiography A Star Shattered: The Rise & Fall of Wrestling Diva Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, she has written about her pancreatic issue which first presented itself in January 2000. She explained that it was a result of alcohol abuse and she almost died from a severe case of pancreatitis. She also underwent an endoscopy.
In Feb 2016 Sytch tweeted that she had been hospitalised at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was advertised to appear at Sanctuary Stampede wrestling in Hazelton, PA that weekend but due to her health issues, she couldn't make it for the event.
Other than her health condition, Sytch has had numerous encounters with the police. In September 2015 she got nailed by the cops for skipping court dates from her previous arrest. She was arrested in Pennsylvania for an outstanding bench warrant. The court issued the warrant when she missed three hearings for her May arrest for Driving Under Influence, driving on a suspended license and careless driving.
She has been arrested several times since her wrestling days and has also served 4 months in prison for violating a restraining order. Her four-month stint in prison saw her getting a cancer diagnosis and a hysterectomy.
In September 2012, Tammy was arrested 6 times in just over 4 months including 3 times in 3 days all relating to her ex-boyfriend. Charges included disorderly conduct, assault, and 3rd-degree burglary. She also attracted a lot of attention when she auctioned her Hall Of Fame ring on eBay.
Apart from her career in wrestling, Sunny has had a short-lived career in pornography too. She has posed nude for Missy Hyatt's adult website Wrestling Vixxxens, which she later regretted. Stych has released a porno film through Vivid Entertainment called Sunny Side Up: Through The Back Door.
