WWE News: An unwelcome blast from the past for Ric Flair?

Does Ric Flair owe $41,000?

Former owner of popular independent promotion Ring of Honour, Cary Silkin, has a bone to pick with the Naitch.

Ric Flair had accepted a $10,000 advance to appear at a scheduled ROH event and no-showed in 2009, and was also paid $35,000 to appear as an authority figure in ROH television tapings. But citing a clash of interests due to his relationship with the WWE, Ric Flair hardly made good on the deal by only appearing on one taping.

This led to a lawsuit worth $41,000 filed by Silkin on Flair in 2010, which was subsequently dropped when the ROH promotion was purchased by the Sinclair group in May of 2011. Although the lawsuit was dropped, Silkin apparently still holds a grudge against Ric Flair and has tweeted about his intention to confront the Nature Boy, www.pwinsider.com reports.

As of now, both Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat are being advertised at a Q&A at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem on the 23rd of July, hence prompting Silkin, a resident of the area, to announce his intention of confronting Ric Flair for the money he feels is still owed to him.
