The main event for the 2nd episode of WWE Network’s latest attraction, 205 Live, will be the same as that of the show’s debut episode last week. The only difference is that this time Rich Swann will head to the ring as the Cruiserweight Champion whereas Brian Kendrick will challenge him for the title.
The match was announced by commentator Michael Cole on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw. If the title match between Swann and Kendrick on 205 Live’s opening night is anything to go by, the WWE Universe is in for yet another treat this week. Here is a video clip from the match:
The two stars of the cruiserweight division put in their best effort during the previous match to breathe life into an otherwise tame show. The competition is expected to be even more fierce on this Tuesday as ‘The Brian Kendrick’ will be looking to win back the title from the new champion.
While Kendrick did not appear on Raw this week, ‘The Outlandish’ was seen in action against former WWE Cruiserweight Champion T.J. Perkins. In a closely contested match, Rich Swann managed to prove his mettle by beating Perkins in a singles match.
Meanwhile, the WWE’s cruiserweight division welcomed another fine young talent in the form of Jack Gallagher on the inaugural edition of 205 Live. Gallagher, who is a British pro wrestler and MMA performer, also impressed everyone on his Raw debut this week as he completed a polished victory over Ariya Daivari. As part of the Raw roster, the cruiserweights were somehow not getting their due as they were overshadowed by the big names. However, with a show of their own in the form of 205 Live, one can expect the high-flyers to flourish much more.
