WWE News: James Ellsworth responds to whether he's signed a contract or not

James Ellsworth has been appearing on Smackdown Live consistently the past few weeks

James Ellsworth appeared in a podcast known as Two Man Power Trip, and when asked about a full-time contract, he said:

"I do hear stuff but I don't count my chickens before they hatch, but I don't know what the future holds. I hope it is bright and I'm having the time of my life and am thankful for every opportunity that WWE gives me. I am learning so much just being there and it has been such a blast. Everything has been going so well, that I hope to be there in the WWE as James Ellsworth, until I'm 75 years old.”

Ellsworth is currently in Glasgow, Scotland, set to appear once more on Smackdown Live tomorrow. It will be interesting to see, where the storyline involving Dean Ambrose, Ellsworth, and AJ Styles will go. Ellsworth has been consistently getting good reactions and praise, even from the chairman Vince McMahon himself.

Ellsworth said the most notable thing about his whole current run, was the praise that he got from Vince McMahon, who is the top man in the entire industry of professional wrestling.

The reports sometime last month by All Wrestling News stated that there had been backstage talk, of giving Ellsworth a full-time contract. Ellsworth’s involvement in the world title feud recently gained heavy criticism, from former WWWF Champion, Billy Graham, claiming that it made the world title look like a joke.

Regardless, Ellsworth’s involvement has resulted in great crowd reactions, and at one point he was even one of the top 5 merchandise sellers, ahead of the likes of Roman Reigns, Goldberg, Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, etc.

He opened Smackdown Live last week, with an apology to Dean Ambrose, for costing him a Number One Contender spot, against AJ Styles in the one before:
