Recently, Triple H attended a media call to promote this Saturday's NXT Takeover: Back 2 Brooklyn pay-per-view. The former World Champion has been responsible behind the huge success of NXT and is very excited about the upcoming event. Some highlights from that session has been provided below:
# HHH feels that the debutant Ember Moon will soon become the key part of the women’s division in NXT. Regarding the No Way Jose vs Austin Aries match, he thinks Jose will bring a different style to the match and may be a tough competitor to a veteran like Aries. Former TNA World Champion, Bobby Roode will face Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas at the event and he knows that it will be ‘Glorious!’.
# According to Triple H, the NXT Tag team Championship match between the Revival and the team of Johny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa may steal the show. He mentioned that he is also looking forward to the Women’s Championship match and believes Samoa Joe vs Shinsuke Nakamura will deliver beyond expectations.
# During this interview, Triple H mentioned that he doesn’t feel any difference between a male and female wrestler. “A WWE Superstar is a Superstar, no matter their gender”, he said. HHH revealed that NXT trains the women wrestlers to be something more than they have. He has seen those performers train to deliver the best wrestling match they can and that is why Asuka vs Bayley for the NXT Women’s title may very well be the best match.
# Regarding the ongoing Cruiserweight Classic, Hunter said it was a dream project for him. He mentioned that it is worthy to give the talents in that weight category the opportunities they deserve and this tournament is something that needed to happen. Although several matches of the tournament have been amazing, he guarantees that there will be a lot more to come.
“It is an exciting time between the brand extension and talents being called from developmental to the main roster” said Triple H. He feels that some of the best wrestlers were called up to the main roster and they totally deserved it. With the Cruiserweight division in RAW, he calls this a great time for the entire pro-wrestling industry.
