WWE News: What WWE is planning for John Cena after his return

John Cena
John Cena expected to be away from WWE for at least a couple of months

While John Cena is currently away from WWE TV after suffering from a rare one on one loss at the hands of AJ Styles during SummerSlam, we all know that the Leader of Cenation will come back strong as he always does and it looks like once he returns, he will continue his feud with the former NJPW star.

Ringsidenews.com is reporting that Cena, who will soon start filming the second season of his tv reality show American Grit, is expected to continue his feud with Styles once he returns.

If these reports are true and if John Cena is indeed going to feud with AJ Styles again then there are some very interesting possibilities lurking around on how WWE can plan this feud to go ahead.

After his incredible victory over the host of American Grit, AJ is currently riding on the momentum and as seen on SmackDown this past Tuesday he has managed to get himself into the WWE World Championship title picture.

His latest PPV win says that WWE officials are high on the former TNA champion and it should not be a surprise if officials decide to make him the next WWE World Champion at the climax of his feud with the current champion Dean Ambrose.

If Aj Styles does win the WWE Championship and if the rumors of Big Match John continuing his feud with him after returning come true, then it will put the former world champion right in the hunt for his 16th world title reign.

Since Cena is a babyface it would only make sense if he gets his redemption over Styles at the end of their feud winning the world title in the process

Although it won't be so easy for WWE to pull this off as they will have to deal with the fan backlash that will come with the history-defining 16th title reign of the former 15-time world champion. So officials could simply decide to keep their franchise player away from the title and save the championship for a more distinct rivalry.

What's interesting to note here that WWE has been teasing the idea of John Cena's retirement for quite sometime now and the latest installment of it came at SummerSlam after Cena left his armband in the ring following his match with AJ Styles.

Keeping that in mind, it's very much possible that their feud would be centered around Styles trying to end Cena's career while John seeking a redemption over his SummerSlam opponent.
