WWE News: WWE releases non-PG Extreme Rules promo

The 8th Extreme Rules pay per view will take place this year

WWE vows to go extreme, one night a year, where the only rule is that there will be no rules. We’re talking about the Extreme Rules pay per view, the event that features several matches with extreme stipulations, like street fights, cage matches, last man standing bouts, chain matches, “I Quit” matches and many more.

Wrestlinginc.com reports, this year, the event will take place from the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey on 22nd May, 2016. WWE has already released the promo for the event. Here it is:

Interestingly, the promo contains something that will be a shock for any PG-era WWE fan. In the promo, we see a couple of ladybugs getting busy and it goes on like “ Spring is in the air, and everybody wants some cction, but there is no better action than...”. The opening few seconds of the promo has created buzz all over social media.

The term PG is derided by old school WWE fans. The past decade in the WWE, there has been less blood, less edgy content, less brutality and the fans don’t want to accept it. They always pray for the end of this term from WWE.

Some segments before WrestleMania and now this video have regenerated hopes among those hardcore fans, who believe the end of PG is coming soon, coinciding with the return of Shane McMahon.
